Microwave Reuben Casserole Food

REUBEN CASSEROLE FOR THE MICROWAVE

Steps:

• 1. Drain and rinse sauerkraut and place on bottom of a buttered 9x13 inch glass dish.
• 2. Place corned beef evenly crumbled on top of sauerkraut. Sprinkle cheese on top of sauerkraut.
• 3. Combine both dressings and lemon juice and spread evenly over cheese.
• 4. Top with tomato slices sprinkle with basil. .Microwave for 3 minutes or until cheese has melted. Remove from microwave and sprinkle with toasted bread crumbs. Let set for 2 to 3 minutes and serve on or with rye bread.

REUBEN CASSEROLE

Steps:

• Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl. (You will want an extra large bowl for this one!)
• Pour everything into a 9x13 casserole dish, scraping the sides well to get all the casserole ingredients out.
• Using a large spoon or spatula, press casserole into dish so everything is tightly packed.
• Bake uncovered on the center oven rack at 350 degrees for 30 - 45 minutes, or until casserole is heated through and top is browned to your liking.

REUBEN CASSEROLE

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 350.
• Spray 9 x 13" pan with cooking spray.
• Place corned beef strips along bottom of pan.
• Spread sauerkraut over top evenly.
• Pour 1000 Island Drssing evenly over top.
• Layer slices of swiss cheese until evenly covered.
• Brown/sautee torn pumpernickel bread with butter in fry pan until browned and crisp.
• Layer bread over top of casserole.
• Bake at 350 for 40 minutes.
• Let cool 10 minutes, serve.

TRADITIONAL REUBEN CASSEROLE

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
• In a bowl, mix the thousand island dressing, sour cream, and onion.
• Arrange the dark and light rye bread cubes in the bottom of the prepared baking dish, reserving about 1/2 cup each for topping. Layer the bread with sauerkraut and corned beef. Spread the dressing mixture over the corned beef. Sprinkle with Swiss cheese, top with remaining bread cubes, and drizzle with margarine.
• Cover, and bake 15 minutes in the preheated oven. Uncover, and continue baking 10 minutes, or until bubbly and lightly browned.

MICROWAVE BEEF CASSEROLE

Steps:

• Crumble beef into a microwave-safe 3-qt. dish; add onion. Loosely cover and microwave on high for 3-5 minutes or until meat is no longer pink, stirring twice; drain. Stir in rice and 1/2 cup water. Cover and cook for 2 minutes. Stir in soup, almonds and mushrooms., In a large bowl, combine the stuffing mix, butter and remaining water; spoon over beef mixture. Microwave, uncovered, for 1-3 minutes or until heated through.

REUBEN CASSEROLE

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
• Spread bread cubes in the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.
• Spread sauerkraut evenly over the bread cubes, then layer beef strips over sauerkraut.
• Pour dressing over all.
• Spray aluminum foil with cooking spray and use to cover baking dish, sprayed side down.
• Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
• Remove cover, sprinkle with cheese and bake uncovered for another 10 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
