Delicious! Three onions, two cheeses and an almond in a nut tree ...that was cheesy, but so is this spread! Serve with buttered round crackers if desired.

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
⅓ cup mayonnaise
3 green onions, chopped
1 pinch ground black pepper
1 pinch ground nutmeg
8 ounces shredded Swiss cheese
¼ cup sliced almonds

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • In a medium bowl, combine the cream cheese, mayonnaise, onions, pepper and nutmeg. Stir in the Swiss cheese. Transfer to small ovenproof glass bowl. Sprinkle 1/2 of the almonds on top.
  • Bake for 7 minutes. Stir, and bake for an additional 8 minutes. Sprinkle remaining almonds on top, and serve.

This is a very different dip/spread. It's fabulous as a spread for sandwiches and wraps (especially Cauliflower Wraps #124193.) It's also a tasty and healthy dip for chips, veggies or crackers. 3/4 cup raw whole almond
3/4 cup water
3/4-1 cup olive oil
1 -2 large garlic clove
1/2 lemon, juice of
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (to taste)

Steps:

  • Place almonds in a blender with the 3/4 C water and mix well.
  • Add the remaining ingredients and blend for 2 minutes, or until creamy.
  • Almonds may be blanched before blending if allergies or taste so dictate.

A vibrant light green, this hummus-like spread of English peas, almond, and ricotta is satisfyingly creamy and can be used as a dip or to anchor a myriad of seasonal ingredients on sandwiches and tartines.

1/4 cup whole almonds
Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
1/2 cup fresh English peas (from 6 to 8 ounces in pods)
6 tablespoons ricotta
6 tablespoons grated Parmigiano-Reggiano (3/4 ounce)
1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
1/4 teaspoon grated lemon zest, plus 2 teaspoons fresh juice

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spread almonds in a single layer on a baking sheet. Toast until fragrant and golden throughout, about 12 minutes. Let cool completely.
  • Meanwhile, bring a small pot of salted water to a boil; add peas. Return to a boil; cook 1 minute. Drain; run under cold water. Pat dry.
  • Pulse almonds in a food processor until finely ground. Add peas, both cheeses, oil, and lemon zest and juice; puree until smooth. Season with salt and pepper. Hummus can be refrigerated in an airtight container up to 1 week.

1/3 cup mayonnaise
8 ounces swiss cheese, shredded

1/4 cup sliced almonds
1 tablespoon bacon bits (optional)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, mayo, salt, pepper, nutmeg, cayenne if desired until smooth.
  • Fold in green onions.
  • Transfer into small baking dish, sprinkle 1/2 almonds on top.
  • Bake for 8 minutes. remove and stir almonds into mixture.
  • Top with remaining almonds and bake an additional 7-8 minutes.
  • Sprinkle bacon bits across top if desired.
  • Serve while hot.

1 1/2 cups grated swiss cheese
1/3 cup Miracle Whip light
1/3 cup sliced almonds, toasted
2 tablespoons chopped green onions

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Combine all ingredients;mix well.
  • Spoon mixture into a deep 2 cup oven proof casserole dish.
  • Bake 15 minutes, stirring after 8 minutes.
  • Garnish with toasted sliced alomnds if desired.
  • Serve warm with vegetables, crackers, breadsticks.
