1/2 pound jumbo lump crabmeat, free of shells
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup grated Parmesan
3 tablespoons minced green onions (white and green parts)
2 large garlic cloves, minced
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon hot sauce
1/2 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
Salt and pepper, to taste

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325°F Combine crabmeat, cream cheese, mayonnaise, parmesan, onions, garlic, Worcestershire, lemon juice, hot sauce, Old Bay, salt and pepper in a casserole dish and gently stir until thoroughly mixed. Adjust seasoning to taste. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until lightly golden on top. Serve hot, with hot sauce on the side for those who like it spicy.

1/4 cup green bell pepper, finely chopped
3 tablespoons celery, finely chopped
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 large egg
1 tablespoon sour cream
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/8 teaspoon cayenne
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons scallions, thinly sliced
16 saltines, finely ground
1/2 lb lump crabmeat, jumbo, picked over
1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Steps:

  • Cook onion, bell pepper, and celery in 1 tablespoons butter in a 10" skillet over moderately low heat, stirring occasionally, until vegetables are softened, about 8 minutes.
  • Whisk together egg, sour cream, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, cayenne, and salt in a large bowl, then stir in scallion, cooked vegetables, and 1/4 cup saltine crumbs.
  • Gently stir in crabmeat, then form into 4 cakes (2 1/2 to 3 inches in diameter).
  • Dredge cakes in remaining saltine crumbs.
  • Heat oil and remaining 2 tablespoons butter in cleaned skillet over moderate heat until foam subsides, then cook crab cakes, turning once, until golden brown, 8 minutes total.

I was looking for a recipe similar to the dip we purchase at the grocery store. This is fairly close. Be careful your Cajun Seasoning is not too salty.

1/2 lb imitation crabmeat
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/3 cup sour cream
1 tablespoon hot sauce
1/2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tablespoon cajun seasoning
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 bunch green onion, thinly sliced
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon italian seasoning

Steps:

  • Mix cream cheese, sour cream, hot sauce, Worcestershire Sauce, Cajun Seasoning, garlic and Italian Seasoning in processor or with electric mixer.
  • Gently fold in cheddar cheese, onions and crab.
  • Refrigerate at least 2 hours and adjust seasonings as desired.

2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
¼ teaspoon hot pepper sauce
2 (6 ounce) cans crabmeat - drained, flaked and cartilage removed
1 medium onion, chopped
1 tablespoon dry bread crumbs
⅛ teaspoon paprika
1 (8 ounce) package Assorted crackers

Steps:

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, horseradish, Worcestershire and hot pepper sauce; mix well. Stir in crab and onion. Spoon into a greased 1-qt. baking dish. Toss bread crumbs with paprika; sprinkle over top. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees F for 30-35 minutes or until edges are bubbly. Serve warm with crackers.
