1 handful fresh mint leaves
8 cups (64 ounces) cold water

Steps:

  • Wash and thinly slice the lime.
  • Add lime slices and mint leaves to bottom of a pitcher. Use a wooden spoon to lightly muddle (mash) them several times to release the juices. (Here's more on How to Muddle Mint.)
  • Add the cold water. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving, more if time. Flavor is best within 1 day.

1 cup granulated sugar
1 lime (sliced)
carbonated water (no sugar added)

Steps:

  • Bring mint leaves, water, sugar, and 1 slice of lime to a boil in a small pot. Turn off the heat after 5 minutes and let stand (infuse) for 1 hour.
  • Strain the syrup, return it to the pot and simmer down to a syrup over medium-high heat, about 15 minutes.
  • Pour the syrup into a bottle and refrigerate. It will keep for months.
  • Drink with ice cold sparkling water, fresh mint, and lime slices. Add a splash of white rum to make it a mojito.

Steps:

  • Combine lime juice, sugar, and mint in a 2 cup (or larger) measuring cup then stir until sugar is dissolved, muddling mint in the process. Refrigerate until chilled (the longer you refrigerate, the more mint flavor you will taste in the final drink.)
  • Pour the lime/mint mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a pitcher then slowly pour in club soda and stir gently. Pour limeade into 8oz glasses filled with ice then serve with extra limes and mint.

1 1/2 cups water
1/4 cup cane sugar

1 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
3 cups soda water

Steps:

  • Place frozen raspberries in a saucepan. Add water and sugar then bring to a simmer over medium-high heat then reduce to medium. Simmer, serving occasionally, for 5 minutes until berries are very soft and almost dissolved. Stir in the mint sprigs, then remove pan from heat. Let cool, and discard mint. For a thicker beverage, puree in a blender or using an immersion blender. For a smoother texture, strain and discard solids. Stir in lime juice.
  • Divide juice among 6 glasses then top with soda water and mint sprigs.

½ cup Water
¼ cup to ½ cup Rich Simple Syrup (depending on how tart or sweet you like your limeade)
1 cup Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice (juice of 5 to 9 limes, depending on juiciness)
4 cups 32 ounces Carbonated Water
Zest of 1 Lime
¼ cup Sugar
1 Lime (sliced into very thin wedges)
1 tablespoon of thinly sliced Mint Leaves (~20 large mint leaves)
Optional: Crushed Ice for serving

Steps:

  • To make the rich simple syrup for the mint limeade fizz, dissolve 1 cup of sugar into ½ cup of water in a small pot over the stove by stirring.
  • Once it boils, remove the pot from the heat and allow to cool.
  • To make the limeade fizz, add your desired amount of rich simple syrup to a pitcher.
  • Stir in lime juice.
  • Stir in carbonated water.
  • To make the sugar and zest mixture to line the rim of each glass, combine the zest of 1 lime with ¼ cup sugar in a plate.
  • Rub 1 lime wedge around the rim of each glass to slightly wet the rim. Dip the rim of each glass in the zest and sugar mixture to coat.
  • Add a couple thin lime wedges and a pinch of sliced mint leaves to each glass. Muddle them with the back of a wooden spatula to release the flavors in each glass.
  • Add crushed ice to the top of each glass. Add the limeade fizz and enjoy!

  • Combine the sugar with 1 cup water in a medium saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium-high heat, stirring until the sugar has dissolved. Turn off the heat and add the mint leaves.
