- Place Rice Krispies in a large bowl; set aside. In a small saucepan, combine 1/4 cup corn syrup, butter and brown sugar; bring to a boil over low heat, stirring occasionally. Pour over cereal and toss to coat. Immediately press onto the bottom and up the sides of an ungreased 9-in. pie plate., In a small bowl, mix the ice cream topping, peanut butter and remaining corn syrup until smooth. Carefully spread half of the mixture over bottom of crust; freeze until firm, about 20 minutes. Reserve remaining chocolate mixture for topping; cover and refrigerate. , Spoon ice cream into crust; spread evenly. Freeze, covered, for 1-1/2 hours or until firm., Remove pie from the freezer 10 minutes before serving. In a microwave-safe dish, microwave reserved chocolate mixture on high for 15-20 seconds or until pourable; drizzle over pie.

This always bring's back chilhood memories. It's an old time dessert that my mom made quite frequently. You may also use CornFlakes or RiceChex instead of the Krispies.

Steps:
- Mix all together. (omitting the icecream).
- Spread 1/2 the mixture in a buttered 9x13 inch baking pan.
- Slice icecream (softened) on top.
- Sprinkle with remaining crumbs over the top.
- Refreeze.
- It's already quite sweet, but if you're so inclined, drizzle with a little of your favorite ice-cream topping. Butterscotch, caramel, or hotfudge all work.
RICE KRISPIES ICE CREAM SANDWICHES
A favorite for children and grown ups alike. A combination of corn syrup, peanut butter, and Rice Krispies with your choice of ice cream or yogurt sandwiched in between.Place a piece of plastic wrap on top of the cereal mixture and then press down with your hands if you wish to keep your hands clean. I keep a plastic quilt ruler with my baking supplies for measuring squares and pastry. From a magazine clipping. No baking required!

- In a medium bowl, stir together corn syrup and peanut butter.
- Add cereal and stir until well coated.
- Press mixture firmly and evenly into a buttered 9"x13" pan.
- Place in freezer until firm, about 15 minutes.
- Cut cereal mixture in half crosswise.
- Spread one half with softened ice cream or frozen yogurt.
- Top with second half of Rice Krispie mixture to make one very large sandwich.
- Freeze until firm, about 2 hours.
- Cut large sandwich into 2" portions (using ruler again).
- Wrap individually in foil paper or freezer wrap and store in freezer until needed.

- In a large bowl or stand mixer, combine softened butter, brown sugar, and Rice Krispies cereal together. I like to use the mixer because it crunches up the Rice Krispies a bit and gives it a better texture.
- Spread half of the Rice Krispies mixture evenly on the bottom of an ungreased 9x13 pan. Press it in with your fingers, getting them wet if you need to. (If you are halving this, use an 8x8 pan.)
- Smash a layer of vanilla ice cream over the top of the Rice Krispie layer until evenly distributed and as flat as possible.
