Steps:
- Season both sides of the steaks with steak seasoning and either cook on the grill or pan sear them.
- In a skillet melt butter over medium heat. Add the onions, mushrooms and Worcestershire sauce to the skillet and sauté for about 10 minutes or until brown and tender. Remove skillet from heat.
- Serve mushrooms and onions over steaks. Can also serve with asparagus as a side dish.

ITALIAN-STYLE STEAK, MUSHROOMS AND ONIONS

- 1. Coat bowl of slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray. 2. Season both sides of steaks with Italian seasoning, salt and pepper. Place in slow cooker. Scatter Cubanelle peppers, red pepper, onion and mushrooms over top. In a small bowl, combine broth, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce and brown sugar. Pour over peppers, onions and mushrooms. 3. Cover and cook on HIGH for 6 hours or LOW for 8 hours. 4. Serve steaks with peppers, onions, mushrooms and some of the cooking liquid spooned over the top. Garnish with basil and, if desired, serve with grilled polenta rounds.

- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Saute onion and garlic in the oil until they start to become tender. Add the mushrooms, and fry until they begin to shrink, about 3 to 4 minutes. Toss in the spinach, and fry, stirring constantly for a few minutes, or until spinach is wilted.

I am posting this recipe as a request for venison recipes. This is the only way that my family will eat deer meat, and it is also very tasty with regular steak. I skip the whole meat thing altogether, but I love the sauce over top of the noodles with lots of cheese (I always add extra, and extra 'shrooms too!)

- Soak steak in Italian dressing several hours in refrigerator.
- Cut steak in 2 pieces.
- Combine flour, salt, and pepper.
- Pound into steak with meat pounder.
- In skillet, brown steak in oil; drain.

- Cover and simmer 45 minutes or until veggies are tender.

- Season steak with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat a heavy skillet over high heat until a drop of water immediately sizzles and evaporates when flicked onto the skillet's surface. Pour in oil. Add steak and cook until it is beginning to firm and is hot and slightly pink in the center, about 4 minutes per side. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read 140 degrees F (60 degrees C).

- Melt 2 T butter in 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add mushrooms and cook, stirring occasionally, 10 minutes until browned and liquid has evaporated. Transfer to bowl.

- With a small amount of olive oil heated on medium high, saute mushrooms and onions until soft. Stir in peppers. Place in a bowl and keep warm.
- Divide shaved beef into two portions and shape generally into same shape as grinder roll.
- Meanwhile toast grinder rolls.
- In same skillet as mushrooms were cooked heat a little more olive oil. Place two meat portions in hot skillet and brown. Flip over and immediately place cheese on each meat portion. Heat until cheese is melted.
- Using spatula remove meat from skillet and place cheese side down in grinder rolls. Top with mushroom, onion, and pepper mixture.
- Can top sandwich with lettuce, tomato, mayo, etc.

- In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the flour, salt and pepper. Add beef, a few pieces at a time, and shake to coat. In a Dutch oven, brown beef in batches in oil; drain. My husband wanted something a little different for pizza night tonight. He wanted a pizza with beef and onions, and maybe a few mushrooms. It sounded to me like he might have been inspired by steak & mushroom pie (especially considering he'd just been to the British import shop & bakery!). So here is my interpretation!

- Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add onions, mushrooms, and garlic and saute 1-2 minutes, or until starting to release juices. Add salt, pepper, thyme, and balsamic vinegar and stir-fry until onions are just turning brown, about 10 minutes. Remove from pan and set aside.
- In same skillet, heat remaining 2 tablespoons olive oil. Add beef strips and stir-fry until browned, about 4-5 minutes. Add mushroom mixture back to skillet and cook until heated through. Add enough flour to thicken juices. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Meanwhile, heat oven to 400* F. Spread pizza dough out into a 12 inch circle in a greased pizza pan. Bake at 400* F for about 10 minutes, or until just turning pale golden.
- Spread sauce over crust. Top with about 1 cup of the mozzarella cheese (use more if desired). Place beef mixture evenly over cheese. Top with remaining mozzarella.
- Return to oven and bake at 400* F for another 10-12 minutes, or until cheese is melted with golden brown spots.
