INSTANT POT WHITE QUESO DIP

A delicious and easy instant pot white queso dip. This is a popular recipe for all ages!

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 cup water
3/4 lb white american cheese, slices
1 cup queso shredded cheese mix
1 Tablespoon butter
1 8 oz package cream cheese
1 tablespoon garlic
1 can Rotel
1 Tablespoon milk
1 teaspoon oregano

Steps:

  • Put one cup of water in the bottom of your Instant Pot.
  • Cover the bottom of an Instant Pot safe bowl with tin foil and place on a trivet that has been placed on the bottom of your Instant Pot.
  • Add remaining ingredients and cover top of bowl with tin foil.
  • Put on Instant Pot lid and set for 18 minutes on manual high
  • After time is up, quick pressure release and remove lid.
  • Remove tin foil and whisk immediately until smooth. You may need to set the pot to "saute" to help.

Creamy and cheesy Instant Pot White Queso Sausage Dip made with jalapenos, mild sausage, and White American cheese. This cheese dip is perfect with tortilla chips and pretzels!

1 lb Mild Italian Sausage*
1/2 cup diced jalapenos with liquid
1/2 tsp taco seasoning
1/4 tsp garlic powder
3/4 cup milk
2 tsp cornstarch
3/4 lb of White American Cheese**
1 cup chicken broth

Steps:

  • Set the Instant Pot to SAUTE and add the sausage.
  • Brown and break the down sausage.
  • Add the chicken broth and deglaze the pot once the sausage is cooked. Press CANCEL on the Instant Pot.
  • Add the taco seasoning and the garlic powder.
  • Add the diced jalapenos. If you want smaller bits of jalapenos, a few quick pulses in the blender are all you need.
  • Close the lid and vent.
  • Set to MANUAL/PRESSURE COOK for 4 minutes.
  • Carefully perform a controlled quick release to avoid spurts of liquid and steam from coming from the valve.
  • Open the lid and set the Instant Pot to SAUTE.
  • Add the White American Cheese to the pot and stir to melt.
  • Combine the milk and cornstarch together to create a slurry.
  • Add to the pot and stir to combine.
  • Allow the dip to thicken and serve warm.

2 tsp oil
1/2 lb ground turkey
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 cup Water
1/3 lb white american cheese (sliced (from the deli, not the plastic-wrapped kind!))
1/2 cup shredded queso asadero or queso quesadilla (or monterey jack)
5 oz Ro-Tel canned tomato and chilie mix (or more to taste, undrained)
4 oz cream cheese
1 tbsp butter
1 tbsp milk
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp dried oregano
Salsa and tortilla chips or veggies for serving

Steps:

  • Add oil to the Instant Pot. Using the display panel select the SAUTE function.
  • When oil gets hot, brown the turkey, salt and pepper until no pink remains, breaking up as you go.
  • Drain and discard any liquids, transfer browned meat to a shallow dish and cover loosely with foil.
  • Rinse out the pot, then pour one cup of water in the Instant Pot and insert the steam rack.
  • In an IP-friendly casserole , combine all remaining ingredients and carefully lower casserole onto the riser.
  • Turn the pot off by selecting CANCEL, then secure the lid, making sure the vent is closed.
  • Using the display panel select the MANUAL or PRESSURE COOK function*. Use the +/- keys and program the Instant Pot for 15 minutes.
  • When the time is up, quick-release the pressure.
  • Whisk cheese mixture until smooth. Stir in the cooked turkey crumbles. Adjust seasonings.
  • Top the cheese with a dollop of salsa. Serve warm alongside chips, veggies and additional salsa

¾ cup half-and-half
¼ cup diced pickled jalapeno peppers
1 teaspoon pickled jalapeno pepper juice
⅛ teaspoon ground cumin
⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper

Steps:

  • Combine American cheese and half-and-half in a medium microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high power in 1 1/2 minute intervals, stirring in between each interval, until melted and creamy, 5 to 7 minutes.
  • Stir in jalapenos, jalapeno juice, cumin, and cayenne. Microwave for 30 seconds. Stir and serve immediately.
