TOP 20 LASSI FLAVOURS - CRAZY MASALA FOOD

From crazymasalafood.com
  • Traditional Mild Sweet Or Salty Lassi. This form which is common in North India, yoghurt Punjab and Pakistan, is prepared by blending yogurt with water and mixing sugar with some mild spices or salt being replaced with sugar.
  • Sweet Lassi. This form is often made by whisking sugar and yogurt into a thick frothy mixture. You can even try adding rose water, strawberry or a bit of saffron or turmeric.

  • Red Orange Lassi. This one is another fancy one; try this amazing combination of red oranges over the yogurt for a fun filled refreshing taste on a sunny afternoon.
  • Strawberry Lassi. Another use for all those ripe Strawberries, this form of lassi is often substituted for a strawberry smoothie, as it’s a healthier option.
  • Dry Fruit Lassi. This flavor is one of its kinds. Blend raisins, dates, roasted nuts, nd milk, take yogurt in a deep bowl and add the dry fruit paste and blend them all again and refrigerate.
  • Banana Lassi. Blend bananas, yogurt and ice cubes and sugar until it is mixed well, you may mix chocolate as well if you wish to. This drink is an exuberant choice for all banana lovers.

TOP 20 POPULAR LASSI VARIETIES IN INDIA - CRAZY MASALA FOOD

From crazymasalafood.com
  • Sweet Lassi. Nothing beats the classic recipes, does it? I like the standard recipe of dishes instead of a twist. I know it is a very ‘old school’ thought, but everyone has their own preference.
  • Salted Lassi. For most beverage recipes there is a sweet and a salty recipe. In the same way, lassi too has the sweet and the salty version. In this lassi instead of sugar, salt is used.
  • Masala Lassi. Masala Lassi literally has masala added to it. This recipe uses dry ginger powder, cumin powder, black pepper, mint leaves, black salt, red chilies and of course salt and water.
  • Kesar Lassi. So here I present to you the first twist of taste recipe in lassi and that is the Kesar Lassi. In this recipe few strands of saffron are added to the regular sweet lassi, but the impact is huge.
  • Chaas. It is somewhat similar to lassi, but lassi has more curd and chaas has more water. The ingredients in chaas also differ accordingly. Again chaas does not contain sugar in it.
  • Chocolate Lassi. I’m sorry if you feel that in all my articles I tend to bring dishes related to chocolate into the top 10. But I am an absolute chocolate freak, I crave them.
  • Mango Lassi. We have milkshakes of different flavors. In the same way we now have lassi with different fruits and the fruit that has surpassed all the other fruits in the run is over favorite summer fruit, Mango!
  • Strawberry Lassi. The next in line is our favorite berry, Strawberry. Strawberry milkshake is the best when it comes to milkshake flavors. I especially like the aroma of strawberry.
  • Banana Lassi. I call banana the ‘Daily fruit’. Since it doesn’t have a season and is always present at your home no matter what. This one fruit is always present regardless of the time.
  • Rose Lassi. We being Indians have to use this flavor as much as possible. So some Indian has invented this highly delectable rose lassi. I am not complaining since I like the taste of the flower.

5 AMAZING DRINKS YOU NEED TO GAIN ... - GAIN HEALTHY WEIGHT
The other time I’ll have a lassi is after dinner which pretty much doubles up as dessert. Some traditional Indian lassi recipes don’t include milk, however I add it in to make a thinner consistency and also add more calories. I also quite like the tartness of yogurt so you may find you need to add more sweetener to suit your tastes.
