This Homemade Garlic Cheese Breadsticks Recipe will put your local pizzeria's to shame! A wonderfully tender yet crispy dough is topped with an addictive garlic butter sauce and finished with gooey cheese!

1 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon dry active yeast
3/4-1 cup lukewarm water
1 tablespoon olive oil
4 tablespoons salted butter
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
2 cups Italian shredded cheese blend
1/2- 1 tablespoon parmesan cheese
parsley for garnish
Optional: warm pizza sauce for serving

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  • Bake for 15-17 minutes or until dough has browned and cheese is melted and golden.
  • Cut bread into sticks and serve with warm pizza sauce if desired.

3 cloves garlic, minced
1 loaf French bread, cut in half lengthways
Two 6-ounce balls fresh mozzarella, sliced
1 tablespoon chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley

Steps:

  • Set an oven rack on the bottom position and preheat the oven to 450 degrees F.
  • Melt the butter in a pan with the garlic and bring to a simmer. Brush the garlic butter over the bread, lay slices of the mozzarella on top and sprinkle with the chopped parsley.
  • Put the bread onto a baking sheet and cook on the bottom rack for about 10 minutes.

1 (10 ounce) can prepared pizza crust
1 tablespoon parmesan cheese
1 garlic clove, minced
1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
1 tablespoon dried basil
1 tablespoon butter, melted
1 pinch salt

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 425.
  • 2. Mix butter and garlic in a small bowl and set aside.
  • 3. Unroll pizza dough onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet and brush with butter and garlic mixture.
  • 4. Sprinkle cheeses and spices evenly over the dough.
  • 5. Use a pizza cutter and cut dough into stick shapes (Lengthwise into 7 long strips and crosswise into 3 strips). Do not seperate strips.
  • 6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until light golden brown.

  • Make the dough: Place 1/4 cup warm water in the bowl of a mixer; sprinkle in the yeast and set aside until foamy, about 5 minutes. Add the flour, butter, sugar, fine salt and 1 1/4 cups plus 2 tablespoons warm water; mix with the paddle attachment until a slightly sticky dough forms, 5 minutes.
  • Knead the dough by hand on a floured surface until very smooth and soft, 3 minutes. Roll into a 2-foot-long log; cut into 16 1 1/2-inch-long pieces. Knead each piece slightly and shape into a 7-inch-long breadstick; arrange 2 inches apart on a parchment-lined baking sheet. 2 teaspoons Splenda sugar substitute
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2/3 cup milk
3 tablespoons butter or 3 tablespoons margarine, melted
1/2 teaspoon parmesan cheese, grated

Steps:

  • Combine flour, Splenda, baking powder, salt, ½ tsp garlic powder and gradually add milk to form the soft dough.
  • Flour a flat surface and knead the dough gently 4-5 times.
  • Roll with a rolling pin into a rectangle about 10″ x 5″ and cut into 12 breadsticks.
  • Mix melted butter with the remaining garlic powder and parmesan cheese in a large bowl or dish and dip the breadsticks and coat well with the butter mixture.
  • Sprinkle with more grated parmesan if you like.
  • Bake at 450°F for 15 minutes.
  • Remove and brush on with any remaining butter.
