A different twist to a standard punch. Brewed tea is mixed with orange juice, pineapple juice, lemonade and ginger ale.

1 cup white sugar
1 cup strong brewed black tea
4 cups orange juice
4 cups pineapple juice
4 cups prepared lemonade
1 (2 liter) bottle ginger ale, chilled

Steps:

  • In a pitcher, combine sugar and tea. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Stir in orange juice, pineapple juice and lemonade. Chill in refrigerator for 4 hours.
  • Just before serving, pour chilled juice mixture into a punch bowl and stir in ginger ale.

2 cups pineapple juice

2 (2 liter) bottles ginger ale
2 oranges, sliced

Steps:

  • Combine juices and sugar syrup (see recipe #153600) in punch bowl. Add ice cubes. Add chilled gingerale just before serving. Garnish with thin slices of orange and lemon -- add whole cranberries.
  • Makes enough for 25-30 cups.

5 Red Zinger tea bags
5 Raspberry zinger tea bags
4 chamomile tea bags
2 cups freshly squeezed orange juice
1/4 to 1/2 cup superfine sugar
Thinly sliced fresh fruit for garnish

Steps:

  • In a kettle, bring 2 quarts water to a boil. In a large heatproof container, combine tea bags. Pour boiling water over tea bags, and let steep for 10 minutes. Remove tea bags and discard. Let stand until cool. Transfer to refrigerator until cold, at least one hour.
  • Add orange juice and sugar, and stir until sugar is dissolved. Transfer to serving container and garnish with fruit. Serve immediately.

6 black tea bags or 3 Tbsp. loose black tea
½ cup sugar
¾ cup fresh orange juice
¾ cup pineapple juice
½ cup plus 2 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
1½ cups bourbon (such as Buffalo Trace)
Mint sprigs and lemon wheels (for serving)

Steps:

  • Brew tea in 2 cups boiling water in a teapot or measuring glass 5 minutes. Remove tea bags; discard. Add sugar to tea; stir to dissolve. Let cool 10 minutes, then transfer to a pitcher. Add orange, pineapple, and lemon juices and 4 cups cold water; stir well to combine. Chill fruit tea until cold, at least 2 hours, or cover and chill up to 2 days.
  • To make cocktails, pour 1½ oz. bourbon into each of 8 ice-filled glasses. Add 6 oz. fruit tea to each and stir to combine (you may have tea left over). Garnish with mint sprigs and lemon wheels. Alternatively, combine 6 cups fruit tea and 1½ cups bourbon in a pitcher. Pour among 8 ice-filled glasses; garnish.
