6 ounces orange soda, such as Orangina
3 ounces orange-flavored vodka
1 ounce herbal Italian liquor, such as Galliano
Fresh orange twists, for garnish

Steps:

  • Divide the orange soda and vodka between 2 tall narrow glasses and stir to combine.
  • Add ice and then float the Galliano on top. Garnish with an orange twist and serve immediately.

Cake:
1 box/18.75 ounces yellow cake mix
1 cup vegetable oil
4 large eggs
1/4 cup Galliano liqueur
1/4 cup vodka
1 package/3 ounces vanilla instant pudding mix
3/4 cup fresh orange juice
Glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar (sifted)
1 tablespoon orange juice (fresh is best)
1 tablespoon Galliano liqueur
1 teaspoon vodka

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F.
  • Grease and flour a Bundt pan or spray with floured vegetable spray.
  • Place the cake mix, vegetable oil, eggs, Galliano liqueur, vodka, pudding mix, and orange juice into a large mixing bowl. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes.
  • Pour the cake mixture evenly into the prepared Bundt pan and tap gently on the counter to release any air bubbles.
  • Bake for 45 to 50 minutes. A toothpick inserted in the center should come out clean. (Do not overbake or it will become dry.)
  • Let the cake rest for 5 minutes.
  • Gently loosen the edges around the rims with a thin rubber spatula. Invert and unmold the cake from the Bundt pan onto a cake platter.
  • Mix the powdered sugar, orange juice, Galliano liqueur, and vodka until the mixture is smooth. (If it is too thick, add more orange juice a few drops at a time to get a drizzling consistency. If it is too thin, add more powdered sugar a teaspoon at a time.)
  • Drizzle the glaze over the cake while it's still warm; let cool to room temperature for the glaze to set.
  • Fill mini-muffins and/or muffin paper-lined tins three-fourths full.
  • Bake mini-muffins for 10 minutes regular muffins for 20 minutes. Check for doneness with a toothpick inserted in the center. If it comes out clean, they are done.
  • Drizzle with glaze or sprinkle with powdered confectioners' sugar .

50ml vodka
1 large or 2 small oranges, juiced (see tip, below)
½ lemon, juiced
15ml Galliano
1 cocktail cherry
1 orange slice

Steps:

  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add the vodka, orange and lemon juice. Shake together until the outside of the shaker feels cold.
  • Add a few ice cubes to a tall collins glass, then carefully double-strain the cocktail into it. Add more ice to fill the glass, if needed, then slowly pour the Galliano over the top. Thread the cherry and orange slice onto a cocktail stick, then place across the rim of the glass.

1 3/4 c sugar
1/2 stick butter, unsalted, room temperature
3/4 tsp salt
1/3 c vegetable oil
2 tsp vanilla extract
4 large eggs
3 c all purpose flour
3 Tbsp cornstarch
4 Tbsp baking powder
3/4 c orange juice, fresh
1/4 c galliano
1/4 c vodka
1 Tbsp orange zest
GLAZE
1 c confectioners' sugar
1 Tbsp orange juice, fresh
1 Tbsp gallinano
1 Tbsp vodka

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 9-cup Bundt pan.
  • 2. In a large mixing bowl, beat together the sugar, butter and salt until fluffy. Beat in the oil, then the vanilla and eggs, one at a time, beating until each egg completely disappears before adding the next one. Scrape the sides and bottom of the mixing bowl.
  • 3. In a measuring cup, stir together the orange juice, Galliano vodka, and orange zest.
  • 4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, and baking powder. Add 1/3 of this mixture to the mixing bowl, mixing until it disappears. Add half the liquid and beat in. Scrape the bowl, then add another third of the dry ingredients and mix in. Add the remaining liquid, mix, scrape the bowl. Add the remaining dry ingredients mix until combined, scrape the bowl, and mix for one minute more.
  • 5. Transfer the batter to the prepared pan, smoothing out the top.
  • 6. Bake 45 to 50 minutes. Remove from the oven and place on a rack to cool for 20 minutes upside down. After 20 minutes, turn the cake out of the pan onto a serving plate.
  • 7. For glaze, combine all of the ingredients and drizzle over the cake while it's still lukewarm
