1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust
1 (10 ounce) package frozen broccoli florets
2 tablespoons butter
1 onion, minced
1 teaspoon garlic, minced
1 ½ cups diced cooked ham
1 ½ cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1 cup milk
4 eggs, beaten
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Press the pie crust ito a 9-inch pie plate; set aside.
  • Place broccoli in a glass bowl. Cover bowl with plastic wrap. Cook broccoli in microwave in 1-minute intervals until evenly heated through, about 5 minutes total; set aside.
  • Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Saute onion and garlic in melted butter until slightly translucent, about 5 minutes.
  • Stir ham and broccoli into the onion mixture and transfer to the pie crust.
  • Beat Cheddar cheese, milk, eggs, and black pepper together in a bowl; pour over the ham mixture. Sprinkle paprika over the entire quiche.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until a knife inserted into the center of the quiche comes out clean, 30 to 45 minutes.

9- inch frozen deep pie crust in aluminum tin
1 Tablespoon olive oil
1 medium yellow onion (diced)
2 cups broccoli florets (chopped into bite-sized pieces (*fresh or frozen see note))
4 oz. sharp white cheddar cheese (shredded)
3 large eggs
2 large egg yolks
1 cup half-and-half
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon freshly ground pepper

Steps:

  • Place oven rack in the middle position, place a cookie sheet on oven rack and preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Take pie crust out of the freezer and let it stand for 10 minutes. Prick crust 25 times with a fork. Place pie crust on the preheated cookie sheet in the oven, and bake for 9-11 minutes, or until light golden brown.
  • While pie crust bakes, heat oil in 10-inch skillet over medium heat. Add onion and cook, stirring occasionally, until onions are translucent and edges begin to brown, about 6-8 minutes. Add onions, broccoli florets, and cheese to the bottom of pre-baked pie crust.
  • In a medium bowl whisk together eggs, yolks, half-and-half, salt, and pepper until combined. Pour mixture over pie crust. Bake quiche on top of cookie sheet 35-40 minute or until quiche is set and a knife inserted in center comes out clean. Move quiche to wire rack and let cool 15 minutes before serving.

1 tablespoon unsalted butter
2 cups medium diced yellow onion (from 1 large onion)
Coarse salt and ground pepper

3/4 cup heavy cream
3/4 pound broccoli florets, steamed until crisp-tender
1 cup grated sharp cheddar (4 ounces)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Lightly flour a rolling pin and work surface and roll out dough to a 12-inch round. Place in a 9-inch pie plate, fold overhang under, and crimp edge. Place a sheet of parchment paper over dough and fill with pie weights or dried beans. Bake until edge is dry and light golden, about 20 minutes. Remove parchment and weights.
  • Meanwhile, in a large skillet, melt butter over medium-high. Add onion, season with salt and pepper, and cook until light golden, 8 to 10 minutes. In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs and cream. 3/4 cup heavy cream
8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
4 slices deli ham, shredded (more to taste)
1 small broccoli, crown cooked and chopped (or 1 sm. box frozen broccoli)
3 green onions
salt & pepper
2 tablespoons olive oil

Steps:

  • Heat olive oil in a medium sized heavy skillet.
  • Saute green onions until soft and add the shredded ham and stir until slightly browned.
  • In a large bowl, beat the eggs and heavy cream together by hand; stir in the onions& ham, broccoli,cheese and seasonings.
  • Pour into a buttered deep-dish pie plate.
  • Bake at 375degrees for 45-50 minutes, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • NOTE: You will have to tent the quiche with aluminum foil to prevent over-browning.
  • Start checking it halfway through the cooking time.
  • Let stand 10 minutes and cut into wedges to serve.

1 pie crust, unbaked
1 cup whipping cream, liquid
1 cup half-and-half cream
1 cup swiss cheese, shredded
4 eggs
2/3 cup fresh broccoli florets
1 1/2 cups ham, shaved and slightly chopped
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1 pinch cayenne pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  • Line quiche dish or large glass pie pan with unbaked pie crust.
  • Combine ham, cheese onion and broccoli and put in quiche dish. Beat remaining ingredients in separate bowl and pour mixture into quiche dish. Gently stir.
  • Bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes then reduce heat to 300 degrees. Bake for 30 minutes longer or until slightly golden and inserted knife comes out clean. Let stand for 10 minutes before cutting.

  • Preheat oven to 375º. Unroll pie crusts, and stack together on a clean work surface. Roll crusts into a 14-inch circle. Fit pie dough into a 9½ -inch glass pie plate. Fold over edges and crimp. Using a fork, prick bottom and sides of crust. Line with parchment paper, and fill with pie weights or dried beans. Bake for 20 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove weights and paper. In a medium skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crisp. Remove bacon to paper towels to drain. Crumble bacon. In a large saucepan, cook broccoli florets in boiling salted water to cover for 3 to 4 minutes or until crisp-tender; drain. Steps:

  • Gather the ingredients.
