Number Of Ingredients 5

1 3/4 cups sugar
5 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into pieces
1/2 cup coarsely chopped pecans, toasted
1/2 teaspoon cider vinegar
8 cups plain popped popcorn

Steps:

  • Oil a 9-inch square baking pan.
  • Heat sugar in a dry 4-to 5-quart wide heavy pot over medium heat, stirring with a fork to heat sugar evenly, until it starts to melt. Stop stirring and cook, swirling pot occasionally so sugar melts evenly, until it is a deep golden caramel. Reduce heat to low. Stir in butter, pecans, vinegar, and 1/4 teaspoon salt. When butter is almost melted, add popcorn and stir to coat.
  • Quickly press mixture into baking pan with a spatula. Cool completely. Cut or break into pieces.

PECAN PRALINE BARK RECIPE - (4.4/5)

Pecan Praline Bark Recipe - (4.4/5) image

Provided by msippigrl

Number Of Ingredients 5

2 sleeves (about 16 sheets) Honey graham crackers (I used Honey Maid brand)
1 cup butter, 2 sticks
1/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar (I used dark)
1 1/4 cups broken pecans
1 to 2 drops vanilla extract, optional

Steps:

  • Line a large jellyroll pan with aluminum foil; then lightly spray it with cooking spray. Arrange graham crackers in a single layer in the pan close together, trimming if needed to fill the pan completely. Preheat oven to 325°F. In a 2-qt. saucepan over medium heat, bring the butter, sugar, brown sugar, and pecans to a boil; then boil for exactly 3 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla, if using. Working quickly (the mixture will begin to set up fast), spread the mixture evenly over the graham crackers, redistributing pecans as needed. (I used the tip of a knife to do this.) Immediately, place in the preheated oven and bake for exactly 8 minutes. Cool completely on a wire rack before breaking into irregular pieces. Store in an airtight container.

PRALINE GRAHAM CRACKERS

Praline Graham Crackers image

This is so reminiscent of pralines - and soooo easy.

Provided by Rosette Rooney @NewOrleansLisa

Categories     Crackers

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 1/2 cup(s) butter
1 cup(s) sugar
2 cup(s) pecans, chopped
2 package(s) graham crackers

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
  • Melt butter, sugar and pecans in a pot with a pouring lip. When completely melted cook for 3 minutes.
  • Lay out graham crackers on a half sheet pan. It will not hold both sleeves of crackers, so do what I do and eat the rest. Try to fill the pan as much as possible, breaking the crackers from 4 to 1.
  • Pour pecan mixture over crackers as evenly as possible. (It won't be even, but it'll be good).
  • Bake at 300 degrees for 12 minutes. Cool, break apart and eat immediately or store in tins or bags. If using tins, I put tissue paper in first, just to offset the crackers from the sides of the tins. Enjoy!
