Steps:
- In large container or bowl, mash bananas and add rest of ingredients, except ginger ale. Mix together. Place in batches in blender, blend until smooth. Put in large plastic container with cover. When all is blended and in container, place in freezer and allow to freeze. Remove from freezer at least 2 hours before serving. Length of time can depend on the temperature. Place banana mixture in punch bowl and add ginger ale to fill bowl. Should be very slushy.
FROZEN BANANA PUNCH
This rich, not-overly-sweet punch makes a lovely change from the same old sherbet/gingerale stuff that shows up at most wedding showers.

Steps:
- Combine fruit juice and lemonade in a 1.5-gallon container.
- In small batches in a blender, puree the bananas with water and sugar. Add the banana mash to the fruit juices. I use a stick blender to make sure that all ingredients are well-blended.
- Freeze the base in 5 1-quart containers.
- The day of service, thaw the punch base until it is slushy.
- Add two liters of mixer for every quart of punch base.
- Serving suggestion: Punch cups may be garnished with skewered fruit.
- I think 2 cups of sugar is enough. Add more to adjust to your own taste.

BANANA BRUNCH PUNCH
A cold glass of refreshing punch really brightens a brunch. It's nice to serve a crisp beverage like this that's more spectacular than plain juice. With bananas, orange juice and lemonade, it can add tropical flair to a winter day. -Mary Anne McWhirter, Pearland, Texas

FROZEN BANANARITA
This margarita is definitely tropical. The flavor is not overwhelmingly banana, but if you like more, add some extra banana liqueur, or if you don't want so much alcohol, banana extract will give it a little extra punch.

Steps:
- Insert 1 ice pop stick into the cut end of each banana half. Place the bananas on a wax paper-covered baking sheet, and freeze until the bananas are frozen through, about 2 hours.
- Remove the frozen bananas from the freezer and spread a layer of peanut butter on each banana. Place the peanut butter-covered bananas back in the freezer for 30 to 45 minutes.
- Melt the chocolate in the top of a double boiler over just-barely simmering water, stirring frequently and scraping down the sides with a rubber spatula to avoid scorching.
- Dip each frozen banana in the melted chocolate, spooning the chocolate over the banana to cover it completely. Roll the dipped bananas in the chopped peanuts and place on the wax paper covered baking sheet; freeze until the chocolate is firm, about 1 to 2 hours.
