Jalapeño Ranch is perfect as a dressing, dip or sauce. It has a thick sour cream base, and is lightened up with fresh cilantro and lime juice and a hint of spice.

1 cup sour cream
4 Tbsp cilantro (chopped)
1 jalapeno (Seeded and chopped (2 Tbsp))
2 tsp lime juice (freshly squeezed)
1 tsp salt
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder

Steps:

  • Combine all dressing ingredients in the bowl of a food processor, blender or magic bullet and blend until creamy and smooth (about 30 seconds).

1 (5/8 ounce) packet hidden valley ranch dressing mix
1 (16 ounce) container fat free sour cream
3/4 cup cilantro (about 1/3 of a bunch)
3/4 cup pickled jalapeno pepper (there are different levels of spice available, so you can make it as spicy as you like!)
1/4 cup skim milk

Steps:

  • Put all ingredients in the blender. It seems to work best if you put the milk and jalapenos in first.
  • Then just puree it until its the consistency you like.
  • Refrigerate after preparing.
  • Enjoy!

1/3 cup nonfat or low-fat plain Greek yogurt
1/4 cup buttermilk
3 tablespoons mayonnaise
5 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
4 scallions, chopped
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 teaspoon chopped jalapeno
1/2 teaspoon chipotle powder
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
One 14-ounce bag coleslaw mix

Steps:

  • In a blender or mini food processor, combine the yogurt, buttermilk, mayonnaise, 3 tablespoons of the cilantro, half of the scallions, the garlic, jalapenos, chipotle powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt and a few grinds of pepper. Process until smooth.
  • Put the coleslaw, the remaining 2 tablespoons cilantro and the remaining scallions in a large bowl. Add the dressing and toss to coat.

So the other night I went to Chili's and had their Jalapeno Bacon Burger, served with fries and Jalapeno Ranch. It was soo good, I knew I had to come home and re-create it. Now since I don't measure, this is just my best guess as to how I created it. It turned out wonderfully, but it may need to be adjusted based on personal preference. ** Cooking time is refrigeration time.

1 cup ranch dressing (I used homemade ranch since I am not a fan of bottled ranch.)
3 -4 pickled jalapeno peppers, chopped
1 tablespoon pickled jalapeno juice
seasoning salt

Steps:

  • Combined first three ingredients.
  • Slowly add seasoned salt, based on personal preference.
  • Refrigerate. ( The longer you refrigerate, the hotter it will become, and the better the ingredients will blend.).
  • Serve with fries.

1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 cup mayonnaise
1 jalapeno
1/2 cup cilantro leaf (no stems)

Steps:

  • Add all ingredients into the blender & blend on high for 1 mintue.
  • Taste to see if its spicy enough, if not add another half of the jalepeno.
  • Chill in the fridge or just enjoy right after you blend!
