PEAR SALAD
Very good dessert! Water can be substituted for the pear juice if desired.

Steps:
- Mash pears with a fork in a bowl until desired consistency is reached.
- Measure 1 1/2 cups juice from pears and pour into a saucepan; cook over medium-low heat until warmed, 5 to 10 minutes. Remove saucepan from heat and stir gelatin mix into pear juice until dissolved. Stir cream cheese and milk into gelatin mixture until smooth. Fold whipped topping into mixture; add pears and mix well. Spoon mixture into a 9x9-inch baking dish. Refrigerate until set, at least 1 hour.

ONE POT PEAR SALAD
Quick and easy pear salad recipe, homemade with simple ingredients in one pot in 10 minutes. Loaded with mixed greens, cranberries, pecans, balsamic vinaigrette and sometimes crumbled blue cheese.

Steps:
- In a large salad bowl, whisk together olive oil, balsamic vinegar, honey, mustard, poppy seeds, salt, pepper until combined.
- Add spinach, pears, cranberries, pecans and toss until combined.
- Optional: Sprinkle crumbled blue cheese on top. I did not do this.
- Serve immediately and enjoy.
- For a beautiful salad presentation (like shown in the picture), prepare the salad dressing/vinaigrette and keep it aside. Spread the spinach or any greens of your choice in a large salad bowl. Top it off with slices of pears and sprinkle cranberries, pecans, blue cheese. Drizzle the vinaigrette on top, just before serving.

EASY PEAR SALAD
Steps:
- Put the cubes of sweet potato on a baking tray and add the oil. Mix well and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C/400°F/Gas 6 for 25 minutes, stirring once.
- Mix together all the ingredients for the dressing.
- Put the salad leaves in a large bowl and add the dressing. Mix well.
- Top with cooked sweet potato and slices of pear and then sprinkle over the feta, pecans and pine nuts.

HIDDEN PEAR SALAD
Light and fluffy, this colorful salad is a very flavorful family favorite. When I made it for my husband's family before we were married, we all joked about not being able to find any pears, so the name stuck.

- In a saucepan, bring pear liquid to a boil. Stir in gelatin until dissolved. Remove from the heat; cool at room temperature until syrupy. Meanwhile, puree pears in a blender. , In a bowl, beat cream cheese and lemon juice until fluffy and smooth. Add pureed pears and mix well. Prepare whipped topping according to package directions; fold into pear mixture. Fold in cooled gelatin. , Pour into a 4-1/2-cup mold that has been coated with cooking spray. Chill overnight. Just before serving, unmold salad onto a lettuce-lined platter.

- Place the first eight ingredients in a blender; cover and process until smooth. While processing, gradually add oil in a steady stream., For salad, toss sliced pear with lemon juice. - 1. In a large skillet over moderately high heat, sauté the bacon, stirring occasionally, until crisp, 10 to 12 minutes. Using a slotted spoon, transfer to a paper-towel-lined plate to drain. Set aside.
- 2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the oil, vinegar, salt, and pepper. In a large bowl, toss the spinach with half the dressing.
- 3. Divide the spinach among 4 plates. Top with the pear slices. Sprinkle the bacon, cheese, red pepper, and shallot over each plate. Drizzle with the remaining dressing and serve immediately.
SAUTEED PEAR SALAD
This crispy, sweet salad is so quick and easy to make for a light summer dish. This salad would also be delicious using apples too. To add a bit more crunch, I also added a few toasted pecans. I found this recipe in a Good Housekeeping magazine.

- In large serving bowl, place lettuce.
- In 12-inch nonstick skillet, heat oil (or butter) on medium-heat 1 minute. add pears and cook 10 to 15 minutes or until they begin to soften and turn golden.
- Meanwhile, in cup, stir vinegar, Dijon mustard, sugar, salt, and pepper.
- Add vinegar mixture to pears in skillet, and cook 1 minute or until liquid begins to thicken.
- Pour pears and liquid from skillet into bowl with lettuce, toss to coat. Serve immediately.
