A quick and easy casserole that children and teenagers just love (and you still get a vegetable into them). This was a favorite dish of mine and my brothers and now THE favorite dish for my two kids. Comfort food I guess. The best part is that it's so easy they can make it themselves!

1 can flaked solid white tuna
1 can mushroom soup
1 cup milk
1 cup frozen peas
1 1/2 cups crushed potato chips

Steps:

  • Mix together in casserole dish: tuna, mushroom soup, milk, peas and 3/4 cup crushed chips.
  • Sprinkle remainder of the chips on top.
  • Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.

  • Cook macaroni according to package directions; drain.
  • Combine first 4 ingredients in a greased 9 x 13 inch pan.
  • Top with cheese and bake at 350 for 25 minutes.
  • Top with onions and bake for 5 more minutes.

1 lb noodles (your choice)
1 (13 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
3 tablespoons butter
1 stalk celery
8 ounces tuna
1 teaspoon pepper

Steps:

  • Set oven at 350.
  • While oven is heating, saute the celery in the butter, and cook noodles as directed and drain and set aside.
  • Saute celery 2 minutes and pour butter and celery into small casserole dish.
  • In the casserole dish add the can of soup and tuna and black pepper, mix well.
  • Place dish in oven and bake 30 minutes
  • Place noodles on each plate and scoop tuna mixture on top, enjoy!

2 cups dry elbow macaroni
2 (5 ounce) cans albacore tuna, in water. Undrained
8 ounces sour cream
1 cup vegetables, we use frozen corn
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese
1 (10 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
garlic powder
cracker, if desired

Steps:

  • Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Cook pasta until al dente.
  • Combine tuna, sour cream, soup, veggies, and garlic in a pot and warm on stove top over low heat.
  • Combine tuna mixture with cooked, drained pasta and pour into a greased 9x12 pan.
  • Top with cheese and crackers and bake for 25 minutes.
  • Mmmm, good.

8 ounces whole wheat macaroni
2 carrots, peeled and diced
olive oil flavored cooking spray
2 stalks celery, diced
1 medium yellow onion, diced
1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil
3 tablespoons whole wheat flour
2 cups skim milk
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
3 (6 ounce) cans tuna in water, drained
1 cup frozen peas
1 teaspoon dried dill
1 tablespoon low-fat parmesan cheese, grated
1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Bring a large stockpot filled with water to a boil over high heat. Add pasta and carrots, cook pasta according to package directions.
  • Meanwhile, heat another large stockpot over medium-high heat. Mist with cooking spray and add celery and onion. Saute for about 5 minutes or until onions become translucent.
  • Add oil and flour and whisk briskly. Add milk, whisking in 1/4 cup at a time. Reduce heat to medium. Whisk in Dijon. Then stir in drained pasta, carrots, tuna, peas, and dill. Remove from heat.
  • Pour tuna pasta mixture into a large 8-to 10-cup casserole dish. Top with breadcrumbs and Parmesan. Bake for 30 minutes or until browned on top.

2 cups elbow macaroni (about a box)
2 (6 ounce) cans tuna (small size)
2 (10 1/2 ounce) cans cream of mushroom soup
8 -20 slices American cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Cook noodles, drain.
  • drain tuna.
  • mix noodles, tuna, soups together and spread 1/2 of the mixture into a medium to large glass baking dish.
  • Put down a layer of cheese.
  • Spread the remaining tuna noodle mixture then top with the another layer of cheese.
  • Cover with foil and bake for approximately 15 minutes to melt cheese and heat through.
  • Options: 1) substitute just about any cream soup for one of the mushroom soups. Cream of celery is a favorite. 2) you can't really skimp on the cheese with a recipe this basic. Try adding more noodles to make it last longer or cutting the entire recipe in half if you are really short on cheese.
