EASY FOUR INGREDIENT DOG TREATS RECIPE - (4.5/5)

Easy Four Ingredient Dog Treats Recipe - (4.5/5) image

Provided by á-8016

Number Of Ingredients 4

2 cups whole wheat flour
1 cup milk
1 cup natural peanut butter, chunky or smooth
1 tablespoon baking powder

Steps:

  • Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Spray a baking sheet with Pam or cooking spray and set aside. Combine all 4 ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Tip: If you're using the same measuring cup, do flour, then milk, then peanut butter, the milk will 'grease' the cup so the peanut butter slides right out! Mix everything together with a large spoon or spatula until you have a doughy consistency. Sprinkle a bit of dry flour onto your counter or a board and knead the dough with your hands to make sure everything is mixed well. Roll out the dough until it is 1/4-inch thick. Using a cookie cutter of your choice, punch out as many treats as possible. If you don't have a cookie cutter, or don't want to bother with one, you can always pinch off small pieces of the dough and roll them into little balls between your hands. Place the treats on the greased baking pan. You don't have to worry about putting them too far apart because they don't spread like cookies and won't stick together. Let the treats bake for 15-18 minutes, or until they turn brown around the edges. You have to be careful with this step because they tend to cook fast and burn easily on the bottom. Once they're done baking, let them cool before storing them. Make sure to store them in an airtight container or Ziploc bag so they don't go stale. You can also try mixing in different gravy powders for a little extra kick of flavor. Hope your pups enjoy!

  • In a microwaveable bowl, add the peanut butter, coconut oil, cinnamon and turmeric and heat for 30 seconds-1 minute until slightly melted. You can also do this on the stove top by whisking it together in a small saucepan over low heat.
  • Whisk to combine, then using a ladle scoop it into the silicone molds to fill slightly over half way full. For biscuits this makes 5 or equivalent to 1 cup. Do not fill too high or it will spill over.
  • Transfer to a freezer keeping the silicon mold flat to harden evenly. Freezer for 25 minutes or until hardened. Once hard, transfer to a freezer bag and store in the freezer.

  • Combine all of the ingredients together in a mixing bowl. It will form a moist dough. I roll the dough out to about 1/4″ thick and use cookie cutters to cut small treats.
  • You could also drop spoonfuls of the dough onto a well greased baking sheet and press the cookies down with a fork. One of the easiest ways to make treats with this dough is by putting spoonfuls into a well-greased mini muffin tray.
  • No matter what shape you make them, bake the treats for about 35-40 minutes or until they’re browned and begin to crack on the top. Once they have cooled completely, you can serve them to your dog sparingly.
