DANNY'S SAUCE FOR BURGERS
This recipe comes from Danny's Restaurant in Bathurst, New Brunswick. The sauce is spooned into the middle of and then over a cheeseburger, so a fork and knife is needed to eat this bad boy!

- Mix all ingredients together in medium pot and boil about 5 minutes to thicken. Pour sauce in and over a cheeseburger.

SUNNY'S NUNYA BUSINESS BBQ SAUCE

- Combine the BBQ sauce, ginger, garlic and more than a few grinds of black pepper in a small pot on medium heat. Cook until the sauce bubbles and is fragrant, about 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and stir in the scallions.
DANNY'S FAVORITE BARBECUE SAUCE
Consumer Report's offered a barbecue sauce recipe in their magazine many years ago. This is it with minor modification. My son loves it.

- combine all ingredients except liquid smoke.
- bring to a boil.
- reduce heat and simmer gently for 20 minutes stirring occasionally.
- remove from heat.
- add liquid smoke and refrigerate.
- makes about 2 liters.
RANDY'S DAMN GOOD BARBECUE SAUCE
I got tired of trying different "store bought" BBQ sauces. They're either too thin or have too much vinegar. This will thicken when cooled.

- In a med. saucepan, sauté the onion & garlic in 2 T. olive oil until lightly brown.
- Add remaining ingredients & bring to a boil, over medium-high heat, stirring constantly. Set aside to cool.

This is to complete the Barbecued Pork Ribs Southern Style recipe # 348843 served at the White house during President Jimmy Carter's term. This was/is his favorite barbecue sauce!

Steps:
- Heat oil add onions and garlic saute' for 2 minutes. Add green pepper and celery saute' for 2 more minutes.Stir in the tomato juice,tomato paste,vinegar,crushed red pepper,dry mustard and brown sugar. Bring to boil stirring constantly with a wooden spoon.
- Add spice bag, cover leaving a small space between the pot and lid to let steam escape. Simmer for 45 minutes stirring often.If you like it thicker,boil it 10-15 minutes more.Remove spice bag. Pour the sauce in a food processor or blender until smooth. This will keep in the frig for 2 weeks covered or freeze.

- Cook. Heat gently over medium heat, stirring frequently until the sugar and mustard are dissolved completely, about 4 minutes. If it starts to boil, turn it down immediately.
- Serve. Here's how to use it, in Danny's own words: "The instant the ribs are pulled from the pit, coat them with a generous brushing of warm glaze. If you pull the ribs, chase the dog, talk to your buddy for a couple of minutes, then try and apply the glaze, you've waited too long." You can also serve it as a dipping sauce, warm, at tableside.
