- Pour the lemonade concentrate into a large pitcher or cooler with a spout. Stir in enough water to make 1 gallon. Grate the zest from the lemon and add to the pitcher, then squeeze the lemon juice from the lemon into the pitcher. In a small bowl, crush the mint leaves into the sugar using a muddler or a wooden spoon. Stir into the lemonade. Cover and chill for several hours, then strain to remove the leaves and zest before serving. Serve over ice and garnish with a sprig of mint.

Mint lemonade, prepared Egyptian-style! Intense with flavor, frothy, and extremely refreshing! You'll love this limonana, but there is a small trick that makes all the difference.

- Add all the ingredients to the pitcher of a high-quality blender. Cover and push blend or liquefy (high-speed function), until you achieve the desired drink consistency.
- Taste and add more sugar or mint leaves, if you like. Blend again.
- Pour the lemonade into a serving pitcher through a mesh strainer. Add fresh mint leaves to the pitcher. Cover and refrigerate until you are ready to serve.
- If you like, strain the lemonade again as you pour into serving glasses. Enjoy cold!
MINTED LEMONADE

- To make simple syrup: Place 2 cups sugar and 2 cups water in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Stir until sugar is dissolved and let cool. Place lemon juice in a large pitcher, add remaining 4 cups water and 1 cup of the simple syrup or more to taste. Stir in mint leaves and refrigerate for 1 hour. Serve over ice.

- Using potato masher, mash sliced lemons, mint, 1 cup sugar and 1/2 cup lemon juice in large bowl until juicy, about 5 minutes.
- Strain lemon mixture through coarse sieve set over another large bowl, pressing masher on solids in sieve to extract some pulp and as much liquid as possible.
- Mix 2 cups water and remaining 1/4 cup sugar into lemon liquid and pulp in bowl.
- Fill pitcher with ice; pour lemonade over ice. Let stand 5 minutes.
- Fill 4 to 6 tall glasses with ice; add lemonade.
