CROCK POT CRANBERRY TURKEY BREAST

Crock Pot Cranberry Turkey Breast image

Crock Pot Turkey Breast only needs 4 ingredients and you won't believe how easy it is to make! Tender flaky, moist, fool-proof boneless turkey breast recipe that's perfect for Thanksgiving.

Provided by Jessica

Categories     Main Course

Time 6h5m

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 (5-7 lbs) boneless turkey breast
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 can (14 oz) whole berry cranberry sauce
1 packet onion soup seasoning mix
1/2 cup orange juice
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon cold water

Steps:

  • Unwrap turkey breast, making sure to leave the netting on the turkey, and place into a slow cooker. I use a 6-qt crock pot.
  • Sprinkle salt and pepper over the turkey and rub it in. In a mixing bowl combine cranberry sauce, onion seasoning mix, and orange juice. Pour over the turkey.
  • Cook on LOW heat for 5-7 hours. Internal temperature needs to be at least 165 degrees. Mine cooked for 6 hours.
  • Take turkey breast out of the crock pot and place onto the serving plate. Cover with tin foil to keep it hot. Skim the fat pieces from the crock pot. Pour the remaining liquid from the crockpot into a medium saucepan.
  • Mix together the cornstarch and water in a small bowl. Bring the sauce from the slow cooker to a boil. Once boiling add the cornstarch mixture and stir with a whisk until it's thickened. You may have to turn the heat down while doing this to prevent it from boiling too much and burning. It should only take between 1-2 minutes for it to thicken.
  • Pour some of the gravy over the turkey breast and serve. I pour the extra sauce into a jar and set that out with the turkey so you can serve additional gravy with the turkey servings.

EASY CROCK POT TURKEY BREAST DINNER

Easy Crock Pot Turkey Breast Dinner image

This is my boys favorite turkey recipe. It is super juicy and never dried out. It is also really easy which is a bonus!

Provided by Cara Metzger

Categories     Turkey

Number Of Ingredients 3

1 turkey breast
4 carrots
1 medium onion

Steps:

  • 1. Spray crock pot with non-stick spray and turn on low
  • 2. Peel 4-6 carrots, wash, and cut to desired size
  • 3. Cut onion and place onion and carrot pieces into crock pot
  • 4. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and any other desired seasonings
  • 5. Remove the thawed turkey from package. Remove the netting and discard. Place the turkey on the veggies. There typically is a side that has a small fat layer. Place the fat side up.
  • 6. I used Butterball brand turkey which comes in a few flavors (Cajun, herb, dark meat, etc). There is an enclosed package of gravy. Open the package of gravy and pour over veggies and turkey.
  • 7. Cook on low for about 6-8 hours. After cooking I pour the liquid out of the crockpot into a saucepan, sprinkle with flour, heat up and make a gravy. Also, you can easily remove the piece of fat from the turkey breast.
  • 8. You can add potatoes, sweet potatoes, or any other veggies that tickle your fancy and they are equally delicious!

CROCK POT TURKEY BREAST

Crock Pot Turkey Breast image

Crock Pot Turkey Breast is tender and juicy and makes for a great small Thanksgiving (or anytime) meal. It's easy to make and is good for feeding a small group of guests of up to 4-6 people depending on appetite.

Provided by Ronda Eagle | Kitchen Dreaming

Categories     Dinner

Time 6h10m

Number Of Ingredients 12

6 pound Turkey Breast (,(5-6 lb) bone-in fresh or defrosted)
cooking spray
1/2 cup water
1 carrot (, rough chopped)
1 stalk of celery (, rough chopped)
1/2 onion (, rough chopped)
House Blend Seasoning Salt ((to taste))
2 cups pan drippings (, reserved from cooking)
1/2 to 1 teaspoon ground poultry seasoning
2 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup all-purpose flour (,(4 tablespoons) )
turkey broth (, if needed for pan gravy)

Steps:

  • Clean and rinse the turkey under cold water and pat dry. Coat the turkey with oil or fat free cooking spray. Season with House Blend Seasoning Salt all over turkey. If desired, add also some ground poultry seasoning.
  • Add vegetables and 1/2 cup water to the bottom of the Crock Pot, then transfer the Turkey into a 6-quart slow cooker. Cover and cook on LOW for 5-6 hours or until tender and the internal temperature reaches 165°F and the juices run clear.
  • Remove turkey from Crock Pot and strain the liquid, discarding the vegetables. Reserve at least 2 cups of drippings for the pan gravy. If there is not enough drippings to fill 2 cups of liquid, use chicken or Turkey broth to make up the difference.
  • Add butter into a small saucepan and melt. Next add the flour and coat it in the butter. This forms a roux which makes a smooth gravy.
  • Whisk in the 2 cups of pan drippings and season with House Seasoning Blend and ground poultry seasoning.
  • Bring gravy to a boil over medium-high heat, whisking constantly - removing any lumps. Once you reach a boil, turn the heat down to a simmer and cook until the gravy thickens to your desired consistency, about 2 minutes. If the gravy becomes too thick you may opt to thin it out with some turkey stock or water.
