The best Crock Pot Chicken Alfredo is made with cream cheese, heavy cream and real Parmasen cheese. The slow cooked chicken is moist and tender. Mix cooked pasta into the cream Alfredo sauce and serve with crusty bread and a salad.

4 boneless skinless chicken breast halves (2 lbs. boneless chicken)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into cubes
1 cup of chicken broth
2 cups heavy cream
2 cups finely shredded fresh Parmesan cheese, plus more for garnish
fresh parsley, minced
16 oz. cooked Fettuccine noodles (follow the directions on the box)

Steps:

  • Trim the chicken breast of all fat. Place in a single layer in the crock pot.
  • Add the salt, ground pepper and Italian seasoning to the crock pot.
  • Cube the cream cheese and butter then add to the crock pot. Add the heavy whipping cream at this time also.
  • Measure the chicken broth and add to the crock pot.
  • Cover the crock pot and cook on high for 2 and a half hours or low 3 to 4 hours. Or until the thickest piece of chicken meat has reached an internal temperature of 165 F degrees.
  • Once the chicken is cooked through use two forks to shred the meat in the crock pot.
  • Cook the pasta if you have not already done so. Drain well.
  • Add the cooked pasta, shredded Parmesan cheese and the minced parsley to the crock pot and mix well to combine.
  • Serve with a sprinkle of more Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley over each serving.

I came up with this recipe with ingredients on hand and it instantly became a family favorite! You can even make it using low sodium/fat free/reduced fat ingredients and it still has a wonderful flavor!

4 (4 ounce) skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
¼ cup water
1 (.7 ounce) package dry Italian-style salad dressing mix
1 clove garlic, pressed
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
1 (4.5 ounce) can chopped canned mushrooms
1 (8 ounce) package spaghetti
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

Steps:

  • Spray the crock of a slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray. Place chicken breasts in crock. Combine Italian dressing mix, and water in a small bowl. Pour over chicken; sprinkle with garlic, cover, and cook on Low 4 hours.
  • After 4 hours, whisk softened cream cheese and cream of chicken soup together in a bowl. Pour over chicken; stir in mushrooms. Cover and cook on Low for 1 additional hour.
  • Fill a large pot with lightly salted water and bring to a rolling boil over high heat. Once the water is boiling, stir in the spaghetti, and return to a boil. Cook the pasta uncovered, stirring occasionally, until the pasta has cooked through, but is still firm to the bite, about 12 minutes. Drain well in a colander set in the sink.
  • To serve, spoon chicken and sauce over hot cooked pasta and sprinkle with parsley.

1 cup low-sodium chicken broth

1 pound rigatoni (uncooked (see notes))

  • To your slow cooker add the chicken breasts, heavy cream, chicken broth, butter, cream cheese, salt, Italian seasoning, pepper, and garlic powder.

16 ounces alfredo sauce (my favorite is Classico brand)
1 cup 2% low-fat milk or 1 cup whole milk
2 tablespoons pesto sauce (I use Kirkland's Cibo Natural brand at Costco)
1 tablespoon butter
1 bulb of garlic, shelled and peeled
3 -4 lbs frozen chicken breast tenders
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup Italian cheese blend (with Parmesan)

Steps:

  • Pour jar of alfredo sauce into the crock pot.
  • Add milk to the jar and shake well before adding to sauce in crock pot.
  • Drop in garlic cloves, butter and pesto, do not stir.
  • Place frozen chicken on top of alfredo sauce.
  • Cook on low for six hours.
  • After six hours, remove lid, stir and sprinkle cheese over the chicken and cook for one more hour.
  • Serve over pasta.
  • If serving at a party, you may set out crock pot with a ladle for guests to serve themselves.

2 cups shredded Italian cheese blend
15 ounce container ricotta cheese
2 (15 ounce) jars cheesy alfredo sauce
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon minced garlic
9-12 lasagna noodles, ((depending on your slow cooker size))
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
dried parsley ((optional))

Steps:

  • In a bowl combine Italian cheese blend with ricotta cheese. Mixture will be thick.
  • In a separate bowl, combine both jars of alfredo sauce with water, Italian seasoning and garlic.
  • Assemble the lasagna layers: Spread 1/4 of the alfredo sauce into the bottom the slow cooker. Arrange 3-4 lasagna noodles on top of the alfredo sauce (break noodles to fit.)
  • Spread 1/3 of the chicken on top of lasagna noodles.
  • Then spread 1/3 of the cheese mixture on top of the chicken.
  • Then repeat these same steps two more times (alfredo sauce, noodles, chicken, cheese mixture.) Try to make sure the alfredo sauce covers to the edge of the noodles.
  • Finally, top with shredded mozzarella cheese and dried parsley (optional.)
  • Cover and cook on low for 2 1/2 - 3 hours (or until noodles are tender.)

1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 2 large chicken breasts)
2 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
2 cups chicken broth
1/3 cup butter (cubed, 75 grams)
8 ounces cream cheese (cubed, room temperature, 1 full brick)
1 1/2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
400 grams penne pasta (4 cups)
3/4 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese (divided)
Fresh diced parsley (optional, for garnish)

Steps:

  • Butterfly the chicken breasts into even thickness fillets. Lightly grease the bottom of a 6 quart slow cooker, and lay the chicken breast fillets on the bottom of the crock pot. Sprinkle the chicken with salt and pepper to taste (if desired).
  • Add the heavy cream, chicken broth, cubed butter, cream cheese, and the spices on top of the chicken.
  • Cover and cook on HIGH for 2 hours or LOW for 3 hours, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reads 165 F on an instant read thermometer. Remove the chicken from the slow cooker, and set aside. Once it is cool enough to handle, use two forks to shred it.
