4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1 heaping tablespoon Fall Spice Mix, recipe follows
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
2 cups square crispy wheat cereal
1 cup pretzel nuggets
1/2 cup pecan halves
1/2 cup store-bought apple chips, broken
Kosher salt
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

Steps:

  • Whisk together the butter, Fall Spice Mix and Worcestershire sauce in a cup. In a large, microwave-safe bowl, combine the cereal, pretzel nuggets and pecans. Drizzle the butter mixture over the snack mix and heat in the microwave until warm and fragrant, stirring halfway through, about 2 minutes. Add the apple chips. Toss vigorously and let cool to room temperature, about 15 minutes. Season with salt.
  • Whisk together the cinnamon, pepper, cardamom, nutmeg and salt in a small bowl. Transfer any leftover mix to an airtight container and store for up to 6 months.

1 tablespoon dried orange peel
2 teaspoons ground nutmeg

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients.
  • Store in an air tight container.
  • Use this mix in recipes that call for the ingredients above.
  • I substitute this for all of my cinnamon needs.
  • If a recipe calls for the spices add up all of the measurments and just put in the same amount of this blend.
  • It tastes great used in cinnamon and sugar for toast and in cinnamon rolls.

1 package (17.9 ounces) Crispix cereal
1 cup miniature pretzels
1 cup pecan halves
2/3 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup honey
1 cup vanilla or butterscotch chips

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine graham crackers, cereal, pretzels and pecans. Combine butter and honey; drizzle over graham cracker mixture and mix well. Transfer to two greased 15x10x1-in. baking pans. Bake at 350° for 12-15 minutes, stirring once. Cool completely. Stir in chips.

5 cups Honey Graham cereal
3 cups cinnamon-flavored bear-shaped graham crackers
2 cups ramen noodles, crushed
3/4 cup sliced almonds
1 cup golden raisin
1/3 cup butter
1/3 cup honey
1 teaspoon orange juice

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • In a large bowl, mix honey graham cereal, bear-shaped graham cookies, ramen noodles, almonds, and golden raisins.
  • In a small saucepan over low heat, melt butter, and blend in honey and orange juice.
  • Spread over the honey graham cereal mixture, and toss to coat.
  • Spread mixture onto a large baking sheet.
  • Bake 10 minutes in the preheated oven.

1/2 cup butter, melted
15 cups Life Cereal or 15 cups cinnamon Life Cereal
4 cups pretzel twists or 4 cups pretzel sticks
1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons cinnamon (yes, tablespoons)
1 1/2 cups dried apples, chopped
2 cups raisins or 2 cups dried sweetened cranberries

Steps:

  • In a very large bowl, combine the cereal and pretzels.
  • Combine sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
  • Drizzle the cereal mixture with butter; toss.
  • Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mixture; toss well.
  • Put in a large roasting pan and bake at 250 degrees for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
  • Remove from oven, stir in dried fruits.
  • Cool and store in an airtight container.
