½ avocado (peeled and pitted)
¼ cup water
½ cup chopped green onion
¾ cup cilantro leaves

Juice of 1 lime
½ teaspoon salt
½ cup sour cream or greek yogurt

Steps:

  • Add all ingredients to a high speed blender or food processor. Pulse until it's mostly smooth - you want to leave it just slightly chunky with visible small bits of cilantro.

2 cups plain low-fat yogurt
1 cup diced peeled seeded cucumber
1 cup chopped fresh cilantro
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice

  • Blend all ingredients in processor using on/off turns just until cucumber is finely chopped. Season with salt and pepper. Transfer to small bowl. (Can be prepared 1 hour ahead. Cover and chill.)

2 cups cilantro (coriander) (leaves and stems)
1 lime (zest of Note 1)
1/2 lime (juice of, Note 2)
1 cup Greek Yogurt
2 cloves garlic (peeled)
1/4 tsp salt (Note 3)
1/4 tsp pepper

Steps:

  • Use a grater and chopping board to zest the lime Note 4
  • Add cilantro, garlic, salt and pepper to the food processor and blitz for 4-5 seconds
  • Add Greek yogurt to garlic herb mix and blitz for 2-3 seconds to combine
  • Add lime zest and blitz again to combine
  • Squeeze 1/2 lime into sauce and blitz for 2-3 seconds
  • Store in the fridge in an air tight container for 7-10 days

1 cup mint leaf
1 jalapeno, seeded and coarsely chopped
4 garlic cloves, crushed
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 cup plain yogurt (Greek preferred)
kosher salt

Steps:

  • In a blender or food processor, combine the cilantro, mint, jalapeño, garlic, cumin and lemon juice and puree to a paste. Add the yogurt and puree until smooth. Season with salt. Allow at least an hour for the flavors to meld.

1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons texas pete (or sub other hot sauce)

  • In a mixing bowl combine above ingredients. I use a handheld mixer with a wisk attachment to mix and whip ingredients.
  • Cover and chill until ready to serve or eat right away.
  • The yogurt is a great canvas to add more flavors. You may end up creating your own variation.
