COPYCAT PANERA TURKEY CHILI

Steps:
- In a Dutch oven, place half of the butter, the diced carrots, and the diced celery. Saute for about 3-5 minutes or until slightly softened.
- Add the rest of the butter, along with the onions and garlic. Cook for about 2-3 minutes or until the garlic becomes fragrant.
- Add the ground turkey along with a dash of salt and pepper. Cook until the turkey is no longer pink.
- Add the rest of the ingredients (be sure to drain and rinse the cans of beans) and simmer for about 35 minutes, adding more broth as needed, based on the consistency you prefer.
- Taste and adjust seasonings. Enjoy!

- In a Dutch oven or large soup kettle, saute green pepper, onions and celery in oil until tender, about 5 minutes. Add ground beef and cook until browned; drain. Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, Worcestershire sauce and seasonings. Bring to a boil; reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 1-1/2 hours, stirring occasionally. Add kidney beans. Simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes longer. If desired, serve with tortilla chips.

- In a large saucepan over medium high heat, combine the ground beef, onion and bell peppers. Saute for about 5 minutes, or until beef is browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add the chili powder, garlic, bay leaf, cumin, chile peppers, tomatoes, tomato sauce and salt and pepper to taste. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally. Stir in the beans and heat through.
