Steps:
- Place corn syrup and sugar into 3-quart saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until sugar dissolves and mixture just begins to boil. Remove from heat. Stir in peanut butter. Mix well.
- Stir in Cheerios and mix until well coated.
- Gently stir in chopped Reese's Peanut Butter cups.
- Press mixture into 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan coated with cooking spray. Set aside.

Steps:
- Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish; set aside.
- Melt butter in a large pot over low heat.
- Add marshmallows; stir until marshmallows are completely melted. Fold in peanut butter.
- Remove from heat and add vanilla. Fold in Cheerios.
- Transfer contents to baking dish. Use waxed paper (or your fingers) lightly greased with cooking spray or butter to gently press mixture in pan until evenly distributed.
- Microwave semisweet and butterscotch chips in a medium bowl for 30 seconds in microwave; stir. Continue microwaving in 15-second increments and stirring until completely melted.
- Spread over Cheerios bars; allow to set before cutting into squares. Store in an airtight container.

- Microwave corn syrup and sugar until slight boil, stirring frequently. Sugar should dissolve into syrup. Add peanut butter, stir well. Mix in Cheerios cereal and stir well, coating all the cereal. Spread evenly into non-stick spray coated 8 1/2 X 11 pan. Melt chocolate chips and butterscotch chips together in the microwave until just melted. Spread on top of Cheerio mixture in pan. Chill for one hour or until topping is solid.

This is my mom's recipe. What's different about how I make it is the method not the ingredients. Using the microwave is key to not overcooking! I get requests to make these all the time and am consistently told that these are the best scotcharoos people have ever had. Enjoy!

Steps:
- In large bowl mix sugar, peanut butter and corn syrup.
- Microwave on high for 3 minutes. Check every 30 sec. after 2 minutes. Mixture is done when it starts to boil.
- Stir in rice krispies until well coated.
- Spray 9x13 pan with non-stick spray.
- Spread evenly in pan.
- Melt chocolate and butterscotch chips in microwave on high for 1-2 minutes (watch carefully and stir every 30 seconds - do not overcook!).
- Spread chocolate sauce over rice krispies.
- Allow to cool (may even put in fridge or freezer for a few minutes) and cover.

CHEERIO SQUARES
My mom used to make this instead of rice crispy treats. Honestly I like these way more than the rice crispy version. For a twist, use Honey Nut Cheerios. I have set it up so that the Prep time is the the time on the stovetop and cook time is the time to let it set up in the pan. Enjoy!

- Melt the Margarine in a large pot. Add the Marshmallows and stir until melted.
- Now, add the Cheerios a little at a time and stir them in so that the cheerios are completely coated. Keep adding Cheerios until no more will be coated.
- Pour the mixture into a 9x13 pan and allow to cool. Slice it up and eat.
