EASY BUTTERFINGER® CAKE
Angel food cake, Butterfinger® candy bars and Cool Whip® are the well known favorites in this delightful (and easy) no-bake dessert. Looks great in a trifle bowl. I don't even like Butterfinger® bars and I thoroughly enjoy this stuff!! You can do this in a 9x13-inch pan as well, but the trifle looks so nice!

BUTTERFINGER CHEESECAKE
I found this one on razzledazzlerecipes.com my nephew asked me to make him a Butterfinger cheesecake for his 18th birthday and I was surprised to find no posted recipes here on zaar. Anyway this is what I turned up. Hope he likes it. Caution cheesecakes need about 8-10 hours to refrigeration so it's best to make the day before.

BUTTERFINGER CANDY BAR CHEESECAKE
I found this recipe in a cookbook that is a few years old. I decided to try it out for an auction we were having to raise money for our trip to Utah. It turned out fantastic, and it sold for $60, if I remember correctly.

- In the bowl of a stand mixer, add cream cheese, vanilla, and 1⁄2 cup sugar, salt and flour; using the paddle attachment beat on medium until completely combined and no lumps. Add eggs, one at a time, beating until mixed. Add sour cream and beat for 30 seconds; scrape down the sides of the bowl with a spatula; beat 15 additional seconds. Add the 6 chopped Butterfinger bars, and beat 20 seconds. Set mixture aside.
- In a medium bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, butter and 1 TBS sugar, with a fork; combine. Pour crumbs into the bottom of the spring form pan and press down evenly to make the crust.
- Add 1 inch of water to your large slow cooker (5, 6, or 7 quart slow cooker). Place a wire rack into the bottom (I used 3 rings from Mason jar lids to set it on), and then place the filled spring form pan on top of rack. Lay 3 layers of paper towels across the top of the slow cooker (hold tight so they don’t fall and touch the cheesecake), then place the lid on top.

- Heat the oven to 350°F. Make the crust: In a small bowl, toss together the graham cracker, Butterfinger, and salt. Add the butter and toss to combine. Transfer the mixture to a standard 9-inch pie plate or a 9-inch fluted tart pan and press against the bottom and sides to form a crust. Bake the shell until fragrant and set, about 12 to 14 minutes. Transfer to a rack to cool completely. Reduce the oven temperature to 325°F.
- Make the filling: In a large bowl, with an electric mixer on medium, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth, about 2 minutes. Add the eggs, one at a time, and beat just until combined. Do not overmix. Fold in the sour cream and salt. Transfer the mixture to the prepared crust. Bake until just set (the center will be slightly wobbly), 25 to 35 minutes. Transfer to a rack to cool for 1 hour. Then wrap with plastic and transfer to the refrigerator to cool completely, 4 to 6 hours.
- Make the topping: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate and the butter together in short bursts, stirring often. To serve, top the cheesecake with the chocolate mixture and crushed Butterfinger.

- Adjust oven rack to the lower third position and preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C). Spray a 9-inch springform pan with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.
- In a food processor or blender, pulse the whole Oreos (cream filling and cookie) into a fine crumb. Stir the cookie crumbs and melted butter together in a medium sized bowl. Press into the bottom of the prepared pan and only slightly up the sides. The crust will be thick. Wrap aluminum foil on the bottom and tightly around the outside walls of the springform pan, as shown in photo above. Bake the crust for 7-8 minutes. Allow to slightly cool as you prepare the filling.
- Using a handheld or stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, beat the cream cheese and granulated sugar together on medium speed in a large bowl – about 3 full minutes until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Add the sour cream, peanut butter, and vanilla, beat until combined. On low speed, add the eggs one at a time, beating after each addition until just blended. Do not overmix the filling after you have added the eggs. Using a rubber spatula or large wooden spoon, fold in 3/4 of your chopped Butterfingers. The rest will be for decorating the top of the finished cheesecake.
- Pour the filling into the cooled crust. Place the springform pan into a large roasting pan and place into the oven. Fill with about 1 inch of hot water. The foil wrapped around the pan will prevent water from leaking inside. Click here to read more about my cheesecake water bath.
