1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
⅔ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 ¼ cups white sugar
½ cup chopped pecans

Steps:

  • Mix together flour, baking powder, and salt in a quart jar. Layer remaining ingredients in the order listed. Press each layer firmly in place before adding the next layer. NOTE: Be sure to wipe out the inside of the jar with a dry paper towel after adding the cocoa powder, so the other layers will show through the glass.
  • Attach a tag with the following instructions: Brownie Mix in a Jar 1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13inch baking pan. 2. Empty jar of brownie mix into a large mixing bowl, and stir to blend. Mix in 3/4 cup melted butter and 4 eggs. Mix thoroughly. Spread batter evenly into prepared baking pan. 3. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes in preheated oven. Cool completely in pan before cutting into 2 inch squares.

2/3 cup cocoa
1/2 cup pecans, chopped
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup butter, to be added by recipient
4 eggs, to be added by recipient

Steps:

  • Pour sugar into a clean and dry one quart jar.
  • Press down firmly.
  • Add cocoa powder and press down firmly.
  • Pour in chopped pecans, making sure they are evenly layered.
  • Combine flour, baking powder and salt, pour into jar and seal.
  • Attach following directions to jar: Empty mix into large bowl.
  • Stir to blend thoroughly.
  • Add 3/4 cup butter or margarine and 4 beaten eggs.
  • Mix until completely blended.
  • Spread batter onto lightly greased 9x13 pan.
  • Bake at 350 F for 30 minutes or until done. Cool in pan and cut into 2 inch squares.

1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup baking cocoa
3/4 cup white sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup white chocolate chips
3/4 cup chopped pecans
1 (50 ml) bottle raspberry liqueur (or your favorite liqueur) or 1 (50 ml) bottle irish cream (or your favorite liqueur)

Steps:

  • Layer all ingredients except liqueur in order listed in 2 quart jar with screw on lid.
  • Attach liqueur bottle to the jar with a ribbon. include instructions.
  • Instructions:.
  • heat oven to 350°F
  • grease bottom only of square 8x8x2 or 9x9x2 inch pan with shortening.
  • Melt 1/2 cup butte or margarine.
  • Beat melted butter, 2 eggs and the liqueur in medium bowl with spoon till blended.
  • Stir in celebration mix.
  • Spread batter in pan.
  • bake 8 inch for 30-35 minutes, 9 inch pan 25-30 minutes till the edges are dry and toothpick comes out almost clean.
  • Cool completely, about 1 hour.
  • For brownies, cut in 4 rows.

  • Wash and dry jars and lids in the dishwasher.
  • Mix together flour, baking powder, and salt in a quart jar, pack firmly and brush residue off the insides of the jar with a pastry brush.
