Steps:
- Combine all of the ingredients in a medium sauce pan and heat over medium-high heat.
- Once you hit the boiling point, turn the heat down and simmer for around 15 minutes until the sauce begins to thicken (as the berries break down), stirring occasionally.
- Remove the pan from the heat and allow to cool to room temperature.
- Pour the sauce into a blender, food processor or any other liquifying contraption you have sitting around in the cabinets.
- Blend the ingredients until liquified.
- Brush the blueberry barbecue sauce over some grilled pork chops, chicken or ribs and serve with some extra sauce on the side!
- Again, I think it's a pretty delicious sauce and something different to serve to your guests at the next cookout. Let me know if you make it even better and want to share with the rest of our grilling fanatics. Before we go though, my youngest son wanted to pass along a blueberry picking tip. If your hands get dirty, no sweat, just use your mouth:

Steps:
- Pre-heat oven to 375° F. Line baking sheet with aluminum foil.
- Mix together pepper, salt and garlic powder in a small bowl or ramekin. Rub mixture all over the pork tenderloin.
- Place tenderloin on the baking sheet and onto the center rack of the oven. Be sure to have baking sheet in the center of the rack. Allow to bake for 20-30 minutes. Oven temperatures may vary, so use an internal thermometer to check for doneness. If it reads 140° F-150° F it is done. If you do not have an internal thermometer, the center of the tenderloin when cooked will be slightly pink, but will not look raw!
- Place blueberries in a medium sauce pan on med-high heat. Using a wooden spoon or potato masher, begin breaking the blueberries while cooking. Add garlic and honey. Blueberries will begin to boil and sauce will begin to form. Stir in balsamic vinegar. Bring sauce to a boil and allow to reduce. Reduction time is about 12-15 minutes.
- Once tenderloin is done baking, remove from oven and allow to sit for 10 minutes before slicing. Remove sauce from stove heat once it has reduced and become slightly thick, it should flow almost like the consistency of honey off of a spoon.
- Slice tenderloin into medallions, about 3/4 to 1 inch thick. Place 4 medallions (1 serving) onto dish and spoon sauce over medallions. Serve with any veggie or starch and enjoy! Also great with a white wine.

Steps:
- Add all the ingredients for the sauce into a saucepan and cook for 2 hours over medium-low heat. Remove the sauce from the heat and place into a food processor or blender and puree. Strain the sauce and set aside.
- Preheat grill over medium-high heat.
- Place the ribs onto the grill and brush with sauce. This will glaze the ribs while they cook.
- The blueberries add a subtle sweetness to the sauce to play off the heat of the chiles and the acid of the vinegar.

Steps:
- In a large non-reactive saucepan, crush blueberries with a potato masher or back of a heavy spoon. Add vinegar, sugar, lime and cinnamon and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 20 minutes. Cool slightly and pour into a large bowl. Cover and refrigerate for 2 days to allow flavors to blend.
- Place a wire mesh strainer over a large bowl. In batches, ladle blueberry mixture into strainer, pressing out as much liquid as possible. Discard solids.
- Pour vinegar into clean glass bottles or jars, and refrigerate, tightly covered, indefinitely. Use in salad dressings or drizzled over chicken or beef.

Steps:
- Heat olive oil in a medium heavy-bottomed pot over medium-low heat.
- Add garlic, shallot and chili peppers. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add tomato paste, blueberries, balsamic vinegar, maple syrup, mustard, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper (if using) and cilantro stems. Stir to combine. Reduce heat to low. Cover and cook for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until you've reached your desired consistency/thickness, stirring every 15 minutes or so.
- Carefully using an immersion blender, blend sauce (or use potato masher or spoon or simply leave as is). I didn't puree a lot because I wanted some texture.
- Allow to cool (jam will further thicken as it cools), portion into a storage jar, cover, store in the refrigerator and enjoy within a few days up to a week. Yields about 2 cups, approximately. Serve with your favourite BBQ foods!

BLUEBERRY BALSAMIC BARBECUE SAUCE
Not sure where this recipe came from, but I finally tried it the other day. We used it on top of chicken with risotto on the side, but it would also work great on pork or tuna as well. It is simple to make and is something different from the average sauce. You can use fresh or frozen blueberries for this recipe.

- Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F, with a rack placed in the center of the oven. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil and set aside.
- Flip one rack of baby back ribs over and insert the tip of a butter knife under the membrane that covers the back of the rack. Wiggle the knife to loosen the membrane. Use a paper towel to hold one the and pull it off. Repeat with remaining rack.
- Combine the seasonings in a small bowl and mix well with a spoon or small whisk. Sprinkle the rub generously on both sides of the baby back ribs. Place the ribs bone side down on the baking sheet and bake for about 2 hours, or until the ribs are slack when you lift them and the meat is almost ready to fall off the bone.
- While the ribs are in the oven, make the barbecue sauce. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, stir together the blueberries, honey and balsamic vinegar. Bring to a boil, then lower heat to a simmer, and cook until the blueberries have burst and released their juices, about 5 minutes. Add the red pepper flakes, cayenne pepper (add in increments if you are sensitive to spice), shallots and garlic and let it cook for about 5-7 minutes more. If you have an immersion blender, blend the sauce together to puree the sauce into a smoother consistency. You may also use a blender or a masher.

Light the coals immediately and allow them to heat until they are glowing red under an ashy exterior.Alternatively, if you have a gas grill, you'll only need a fifteen minute head start on preheating the grill. When you're ready to grill, simply preheat the grill to medium-high.
- In a sauce pan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. When the oil begins to shimmer in the pan, add the red onion and garlic. Sauté these until they are glossy and fragrant or about 3 minutes.
