Big Mac in a Bowl - all your favorite flavors of Mcdonald's Big Mac burger combined into a salad. It is loaded with ground beef, tomatoes, pickles, cheese, onions, and topped off with some Light thousand island dressing. Low Carb and Weight Watcher friendly!

1 lb lean ground beef 96% lean
1 tsp of onion powder
1 tsp of garlic powder
2 or 3 dashes of Worcestershire sauce
8 cups of romaine lettuce
16 pickle slices, no sugar added
4oz reduced fat cheddar
8 tablespoons red onion, diced
2 roma tomato, diced
8 tablespoons of Lite Thousand Island dressing

Steps:

  • In a nonstick skillet cook the ground beef on medium-high heat. When the beef is brown and no longer pink in the middle, drain any extra fat. Add in onion powder, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Set aside.
  • Add 2 cups of chopped romaine lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, onions, cheese, and ground beef to the top of the lettuce. Weigh out 4 oz of ground beef on a food scale.
  • Top the salad with 2 tablespoons of Thousand Island dressing.

8 slices white bread
1 -1 1/2 lb extra lean ground beef
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1 head iceberg lettuce, shredded
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
3/4 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
1/4-1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Steps:

  • Toast all eight pieces of bread until just lightly golden-brown. Let cool and cut into cubes; set aside.
  • Brown and drain the extra lean ground beef. Let cool.
  • In a large bowl, combine the cooked and cooled ground beef, toasted bread cubes,finely chopped onions, shredded lettuce and cheese; toss well. Place in a large salad/serving bowl.
  • In a seperate small bowl, stir together the mayonnaise, ketchup, relish, salt and pepper.
  • Drizzle the dressing over the salad. You can either leave it drizzled or toss everything to evenly coat salad.
  • Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
