Number Of Ingredients 9

1 package (3 ounces) berry blue or raspberry gelatin
2 cups boiling water
2 cups sugar
1 can (46 ounces) pineapple juice
2 liters ginger ale
4-1/2 cups cold water
1 cup lemon juice
Blue or red liquid food coloring, optional
Fresh raspberries, blueberries and star fruit, optional

Steps:

  • In a large container, dissolve gelatin in boiling water; stir in sugar until dissolved. Add the pineapple juice, ginger ale, water and lemon juice. Add food coloring if desired. Freeze for 8 hours or overnight. , Remove from freezer 20 minutes before serving. Stir until mixture is slushy. Serve in a chilled glass. For garnish, thread fruit on wooden skewers if desired. Serve immediately

2 cups red, white, rosé or sparkling wine
3 ice cubes
1/4 cup raspberries
1/4 cup blackberries
1/4 cup frozen strawberries, sliced
Optional: 1 tablespoon honey
Garnish: fresh or frozen berries

Steps:

  • Gather the ingredients.
  • Fill an ice cube tray with the wine of your choice. Freeze for at least 6 hours, though overnight is best.
  • For one large slushie or two small ones, combine 3 ice cubes and 6 frozen wine cubes with the berries and honey in a blender .
  • Blend well, until mixed and slushy.
  • Pour into a chilled glass .
  • Garnish with berries, serve, and enjoy.

I have a neighbour that brings me raspberries from her everbearing bush. There are only so many batches of jam that one can make. This is the best summer drink ever. This recipe came from my sister, a great cook herself.

1 (1 7/8 liter) can pineapple juice
2 (355 ml) cans frozen lemonade
200 ml reallemon lemon juice
3 (8 g) packages unsweetened raspberry kool-aid
750 ml mashed fresh raspberries (or frozen)
375 ml sugar
750 ml vodka

Steps:

  • Mix everything together in a clean ice cream pail.
  • Put into the freezer.
  • Stir every couple of hours.
  • Once this is frozen to a nice slush consistency, spoon 45 ml.(or more) into a tall glass. Top with club soda, gingerale, or 7-up.
  • You could substitute strawberries for a strawberry slush, but you'll want to use strawberry koolaid instead.

1/2 cup water
3 cups ice cubes

  • Empty drink mix into blender container.
  • Add remaining ingredients.
  • Cover and blend on high speed 10 second.
  • Turn off blender and stir with spoon.
  • Cover and blend an additional 5 seconds or until smooth, using pulsing action.

I brew the tea the night before then chill until the next morning. Use any combination of berries-raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, etc.

1 1/2 cups organic brewed green tea, chilled (read *NOTE)
2 cups frozen mixed berries, partially thawed
1/2 small banana, cut up into large chunks
1/2-1 tablespoon honey or 1/2-1 tablespoon agave nectar

Steps:

  • *NOTE: I used three tea bags of Traditional Medicinals brand Organic Green Tea with Ginger. The original recipe specified six tea bags and three full tablespoons of honey. I toned it down a little.
  • Brew the tea and let steep for 10 minutes; covered. Remove tea bags, allow tea to cool down then refrigerate.
  • Place all ingredients in a blender and process until smooth.
