Banana Tahini Smoothie Recipe image

Recipe for a smoothie made with sesame paste (tahini), frozen banana, Greek yogurt, cinnamon, and honey.

1 frozen banana
1 cup plain Greek yogurt
1/2 cup milk
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons tahini
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Pinch of salt
4 large ice cubes

Steps:

  • Gather the ingredients.
  • To make the smoothie, add the banana, Greek style yogurt, milk, honey, sesame paste, cinnamon, salt, and ice cubes to a blender.
  • Puree until completely smooth and no ice chips remain. Serve cold.

This is actually a tahini-cream cheese sandwich, with a banana slice on top.

1 four-ounce package cream cheese, room temperature
1/4 cup tahini
1 slice whole-wheat bread, toasted and cut into 1 1/2-inch rounds
1/2 banana, peeled and sliced into 1/2-inch-thick rounds

Steps:

  • Place cream cheese and tahini in medium bowl; stir until combined. Spread tahini mixture on top of toast rounds, and top each with a banana slice. Serve.
