CROCK POT BALSAMIC PORK ROAST
I love making pork in the slow cooker, it's so easy and literally falls apart once cooked. Here it's cooked with balsamic vinegar and honey which gives it a slight tang that I love!

Steps:
- In a small bowl, combine sage, brown sugar, salt, black pepper and garlic powder. Rub the pork on all sides with this mixture.
- Over high heat, add 1-2 tablespoons of oil to a cast iron skillet (or whatever skillet you have on hand). Once the skillet is very hot, carefully add the pork roast and sear on each side for about 10-15 seconds until a nice crust forms.
- Transfer pork roast to a crockpot along with apple cider vinegar and water. Cook on low heat for 7-8 hours. When done, pork will be very tender and pull apart easily with a fork.
- About 15 minutes before you are ready to eat the roast, make the balsamic glaze. Add all balsamic glaze ingredients to a saucepan. Cook over medium-low heat until sauce thickens and turns into a glaze, stirring frequently, about 10-15 minutes.
- Remove pork from the crockpot and serve with the balsamic glaze.

Steps:
- Rub the salt and pepper over the pork tenderloin. If you are pan searing it, heat 2 Tablespoons olive oil in a skillet over medium high heat. Let each side get very dark brown about 1-2 minutes. Add 1/2 cup of water to the crockpot and place the pork inside.
- Cook the pork on low for 6-8 hours. The last hour of cooking, in medium saucepan mix together garlic, 1/2 cup water, brown sugar, cornstarch, balsamic vinegar, and soy sauce together. Bring to a boil and reduce the heat to medium low and stir until the glaze thickens. Slowly add more cornstarch if needed.
- Brush the roast with the glaze 2-3 times the last hour of cooking. To get the caramelized crust, remove the pork roast from the crockpot and place on an aluminum foil lined pan. Brush more of the glaze on top and broil on high for 2-3 minutes until the desired crust is achieved.
- With two forks shred the pork. You can serve with rice, potatoes, or in sandwiches. Serve with remaining glaze on the side.

Steps:
- Combine brown sugar, water, balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, and cornstarch in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens, 4 to 6 minutes. Remove from the heat and set aside.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking sheet.
- Combine garlic, sage, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Rub garlic mixture over pork tenderloins.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Arrange tenderloins in the skillet and brown evenly, 2 to 3 minutes per side. Transfer pork to the prepared baking sheet and brush with the balsamic glaze.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Turn pork, brush again with glaze, and continue cooking until pork is slightly pink in the center, about 20 minutes more, or until desired doneness. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 145 degrees F (63 degrees C).
- Remove tenderloin to a platter. Allow to rest for 10 minutes. Drizzle a little extra glaze over the top. Carve and serve with remaining glaze on the side.
