PORK CHOPS WITH DELICIOUS GRAVY
Pork Chops with a delicious, light gravy. Great to eat with mashed potatoes too!

Steps:
- Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Season the pork chops with seasoned salt and seasoned pepper, then dredge in 3 tablespoons of flour. Shake off any excess flour, and place the chops in the skillet. Cook for a few minutes on each side, until browned.
- In a small bowl, stir together the sour cream, milk, 1 tablespoon of flour, lemon juice, and honey. Season with a tiny bit of seasoning salt if desired. Pour the sauce over the chops, and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes, until pork is cooked through.

These pork chops will melt in your mouth. They are very good and easy to assemble. They are first sauteed in butter, then baked in a creamy mushroom sauce.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Season pork chops with salt and pepper to taste. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium high heat. Saute the pork chops in the butter for about 5 minutes per side.
- In a separate medium bowl, combine the milk, water and soup. Place the pork chops in a 9x13 inch baking dish and pour the soup mixture over the chops.
- Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 45 minutes.

Steps:
- Heat oil in heavy pan over medium heat.
- Add pork chops and brown on both sides.
- Remove pork chops and set aside.
- Add onions to pan and cook until limp.
- Sprinkle 1 Tbsp flour over onions and stir until flour starts to brown.
- Stir in 2 cups water and the mushrooms with their liquid.
- Heat to boiling and then reduce to simmering.
- Add 1/2 cup water to 1/4 cup brown gravy mix,mix well and add to water in pan, stirring well.
- Add pork chops to pan, cover and simmer 45 minutes.
- Use the additional water to thin the gravy, if needed.
- Serve over mashed potatoes or rice.

A Louisiana favorite, just lovely served over rice or mashed potatoes. Overnight marinating not included in preparation time.

Steps:
- Combine the seasoning mix ingredients together in a bowl.
- Sprinkle evenly on both sides of the chops, making sure to use all of it.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- Grease a skillet heavily with 1 tablespoon margarine and heat until very hot.
- Add the pork chops in batches and brown well (about 3 minutes/side).
- Transfer to a large baking pan.
- Melt the remaining margarine over high heat.
- Add 2 cups of the onions and sauté until dark golden (about 5 minutes), stirring frequently to prevent scorching.
- Add the remaining 2 cups onions and cook until translucent.
- Add the garlic, remove from heat, and immediately spoon over browned chops.
- Pour the stock around the edges and seal the pan with foil.
- Bake for about 30 minutes, or until the meat is cooked through and tender.
- Remove from oven and serve with rice or mashed potatoes.

- 1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Brown pork chops in a small amount of oil on both sides. Place in a single layer in baking dish.
- 2. Pour the fat from the skillet into a small bowl. Return 1 - 2 tablespoons of fat to skillet. With a whisk or spoon, stir the flour and onion soup mix into the warm oil to make a smooth paste. Slowly stir in the boiling water. Make sure to scrape up any tasty bits left in pan! When blended, pour over the pork chops.
- 3. Cover the pork chops with baking pan lid or a double thickness of aluminum foil. Place in oven and bake for 30 minutes, or until chops are tender.
- 4. Remove the pork chops from baking pan and place on a warm platter.
- 5. To make the gravy, slowly stir the sour cream into the liquid in the baking pan, with a whisk or spoon. Reheat, if needed, but do not boil. Serve over the pork chops. Sprinkle with chopped parsley, if desired. Wonderful with mashed potatoes!

- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Pour vegetable oil into pan about 1/4-1/2 inch deep, and place on medium high heated burner.
- Season pork chops with garlic salt and pepper.
- Cover pork chops on both sides with FLOUR.
- When oil is hot, brown pork chops on both sides.
- Place pork chops in baking dish, and cover with water (the amount of water decides how much gravy you will have, so you decide. I suggest about 1 1/2 inches deep in an 8x11 1/2 inch pan). Place pan in oven and bake at 375°F for about 25 minutes or until pork chops are no longer pink inside.
- Take pork chops out of the oven and pour the brown gravy mix into water.
- Return pork chops to the over and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
- Now is the time to make the rice.
- Prepare according to package directions.
- Take pork chops out of the oven and serve with gravy over rice.
- ENJOY!
BROWNED PORK CHOPS AND GRAVY
This is a nice pork recipe to serve company but easy enough to have any night of the week. Very good over egg noodles or mashed potatoes.

Steps:
- Combine sage, marjoram, pepper and salt; rub on both sides of chops.
- Lightly coat large nonstick skillet with oil or spray and heat over medium.
- Place chops in skillet and cook 5 minutes, turning once, until chops are barely pink.
- Remove from skillet and keep warm.
- Add onion and garlic to skillet and cook and stir for 2 minutes.
- Add mushrooms and broth and bring to a boil; reduce to a simmer, covered, 3- 4 minutes or until mushrooms are tender.
- Whisk together sour cream, flour and mustard in a medium bowl.
- Whisk in 3 tbl of broth from skillet and then stir sour cream mixture into skillet.
- Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil.
- Serve over pork chops and noodles.
