BANANA NUT BREAD CHEX® PARTY MIX

Steps:

• In large microwavable bowl, measure cereals and walnuts; set aside.
• In 2-cup microwavable measuring cup, microwave butter until melted, about 30 seconds. Stir in brown sugar and corn syrup; microwave 30 seconds longer or until mixture is boiling. Stir in vanilla and cinnamon. Pour over cereals, stirring until evenly coated.
• Microwave uncovered on High about 3 minutes, stirring every minute, until mixture is glazed. Stir in dried bananas. Spread on waxed paper to cool. Store in airtight container.

PRALINE NUT CHEX MIX

Steps:

• Heat oven to 375.
• spray a large shallow pan with cooking spray.
• Mix cereal, pretzels, and nuts in a large bowl, then place in shallow pan.
• Combine brown sugar, butter and corn syrup in a sauce pan. Cook over medium heat, bring to a boil. Boil for 4-6 minutes stirring constantly.
• Remove from heat, add baking soda and vanilla. Stir quickly and then pour over cereal mix. Toss cereal mix.
• Bake in oven 10-15 minutes stirring every 5 minutes until set.
• Pour onto alumimnum foil to cool. Break large pieces apart.
• Store in airtight container.
• Enjoy!

CHEWY ALMOND CHEX MIX

Steps:

• In a large bowl add the Rice Chex, shredded coconut and sliced almonds, put to the side.
• In a dutch oven combine the Karo corn syrup, butter, sugar, and salt and cook on medium heat, stiring constantly until the mixture comes to a boil.
• Remove the mixture from the heat and add the baking soda and almond extract, stir until combined. (The mixture will get frothy and will expand in size, this is normal and what you want).
• Add your reserved dry ingredients to your wet mixture and stir lightly until the ingredients are combined.
• Spread the combined mixture onto waxed paper on your counter top.
• Allow mixture to cool for 1 hour or until the mixure is able to be packaged. (Or at least until your patience runs thin and you have to have just a nibble).
