OUR FAVORITE PIZZA DOUGH (BREAD MACHINE)



Our Favorite Pizza Dough (Bread Machine) image

I made pizza for my kids almost every monday night for over a year, and worked out this recipe until it's just right. Should make two large pizzas and be ready in about 90 minutes.

Yield 2 Large Pizzas, 6 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

4 cups flour
3 teaspoons bread machine yeast
1 1/2 teaspoons sea salt
4 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons honey
1 1/2 cups warm water

Steps:

  • Sift together dry ingredients in large bowl, add oil, honey and water and mix until combined. Transfer to bread machine on "Dough/Pasta" setting. (Should be roughly 90 minutes).
  • When dough is ready, divide in two, let rest 10-15 minutes, then roll out with a little more flour to about 1/2" or so. Add your favorite sauce, cheeses and other toppings.
  • I bake ours on a pizza stone in a 525 degree oven for 8-10 minutes.

Pizza Dough (bread machine) image

This is very easy to make and delicious. The original recipe came from my bread machine book, but I added to herbs for an even better tasting crust.

Yield 2 large pizza crusts

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 1/4 cups luke water
3 tablespoons olive oil
4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons active dry yeast
1 teaspoon dry oregano or 1 teaspoon dry basil, crushed (or a little of all three)

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients into bread pan.
  • select dough setting.
  • When dough is finished, remove from bread pan and pat out onto pizza pans and top with your favorite pizza toppings.
  • Bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 min.
  • or until crust is golden brown.
  • This can be done by hand also, but you will need to let the dough rise (double in size) and knead it down again and rise again before patting it into pizza crusts.

With its iconic crackled crust and pillowy centre, tiger bread is a fantastic baking recipe to have up your sleeve. Our easy recipe is simple, and makes a great weekend project

Yield Makes 10-12 slices

Number Of Ingredients 12

500g strong white bread flour, plus extra for kneading
7g sachet fast action yeast
1½ tsp caster sugar
1½ tsp fine sea salt
300-350ml warm water
vegetable oil, for the bowl
90g rice flour
½ x 7g sachet fast action yeast
¼ tsp salt
1 tsp golden caster sugar
½ tbsp toasted sesame oil
90ml warm water

Steps:

  • Tip the flour into a large mixing bowl. Stir through the yeast, sugar and salt. Make a well in the middle and gradually pour in the water. Swiftly mix together, then turn out onto a lightly floured surface. Knead the bread for 8-10 mins or until smooth and elastic. Lightly oil a large mixing bowl, then put the dough in the bowl, cover and leave in a warm place for 1 hr or until doubled in size.
  • Once the dough has risen, tip it onto a worktop and knead it three times. Shape the dough into an oval as best you can. Lightly flour a baking sheet and sit the loaf on it. Cover loosely with lightly oiled cling film and leave for a further 45 mins-1 hr or until doubled in size again.
  • Heat oven to 200C/180C fan/gas 6. Whisk together all of the topping ingredients in a small bowl until you get a spreadable paste, adding more water and/or flour if necessary, then set aside to rest for 5 mins. Gently spread the mixture over the loaf with a palette knife. Place the baking sheet in the centre of the oven and bake for 35 mins. Once cooked, the loaf should sound hollow when the base is tapped and should feel light for its size. Leave to cool completely before cutting into slices.

The Best Raisin Bread for Bread Maker / Machine image

I have tried no less than 5 different recipes and several variations of Raisin Bread recipes before finding what I think is the best tasting recipe. It is a culmination of trail and error using various recipes found on the internet and in Bread Machine Cookbooks. This recipe makes approximately a 1.5lb (750gm) loaf.

270 ml lukewarm water
1 tablespoon butter
3 cups plain white flour (I haven't tried bread flour)
1 tablespoon powdered milk
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon cinnamon or 1 tablespoon allspice
2 teaspoons dry yeast
1 cup raisins (I dust them in a little plain flour to coat them and prevent them sinking to the bottom of the loaf)

Steps:

  • Firstly, mix the flour, milk powder, sugar, salt and cinnamon together thoroughly in a mixing bowl making sure there are no lumps.
  • Now add the luke warm water and butter into the bread machine. (I divide the butter into four pieces and put one in each corner of the pan for easier mixing).
  • Then add the dry mixed ingredients into the pan. Make a small well in the centre of the dry mixture and add the yeast.
  • Set the Bread Maker / Machine to 'Sweet Bread' setting and wait for it to 'BEEP' (approx 15 minutes) before adding the raisins.
  • Wait until cooked and enjoy fresh or toasted with butter -- YUM !
  • ** If the mixture is too dry while mixing you can add a tablespoon of water. Alternatively if its too moist, a tablespoon of flour should sort it out nicely. **.

BEST LOW CARB BREAD (BREAD MACHINE)



Best Low Carb Bread (Bread Machine) image

I found this recipe on the Low Carb Friends forum some time ago. I've baked this bread many times, and it's very good! The whole loaf only contains about 20 carbs, so when you slice it, divide the total carbs by the number of slices. (I usually get about 10 slices, which only amounts to 2 carbs per slice!) If the lid of your bread machine lifts slightly during the last 15 minutes of baking time, don't worry; when the bread is baked, the lid will lower. I prefer to eat this bread toasted slightly, and buttered.

1/3 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
2 tablespoons sugar

1 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast
2/3 cup diced pepperoni

Steps:

  • In bread machine pan, place the first seven ingredients in order suggested by manufacturer.
  • Select basic bread setting.
  • Choose medium crust color.
  • Just before final kneading, (usually machine will beep at this time) add the pepperoni.
  • Make a 1 1/2 lb loaf.
  • Do not use delay timer feature for this recipe.
