¼ cup of chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Slice bananas down the middle still in the peel.
  • Open the slit and stuff in mini marshmallows.
  • Top with a bit of chocolate chips and some crushed graham crackers
  • Wrap in foil and cook over the grill on a fire until the whole banana is black.
  • Remove and enjoy, you can top with more graham cracker crumbs if you want!

Steps:

  • Cut the banana lengthwise with a sharp knife. Then use your hands and open the banana so that you can stuff it.
  • Sprinkle the graham crackers into the banana, then add your chopped chocolate or chocolate bar inside.
  • Stuff the banana with mini marshmallows.
  • Place in the air fryer basket and set the temperature to 400 degrees F, air fryer setting, for 5 minutes, just enough so that the banana blackens and the inside ingredients start melting.

The bacon adds saltiness, the peanut butter amplifies the crunch factor and the bananas add to the gooeyness.

1 slice thick-cut or regular bacon, halved crosswise
1 sheet honey graham cracker, halved crosswise into 2 squares
One 0.375-ounce square milk chocolate, such as Hershey's (see Cook's Note)
1/2 teaspoon peanut butter or dulce de leche
1 regular marshmallow
Four 1/2-inch-thick slices banana

Steps:

  • Preheat an air fryer to 400 degrees F.
  • Add the bacon and set the timer for 6 minutes. Meanwhile, place the graham cracker squares hole-side down on a plate. Center the chocolate on one square and spread the peanut butter on the other square. After 3 minutes, open the air fryer, add the marshmallow and cook 2 minutes more.
  • Open the air fryer, place both graham squares inside, roll the marshmallow onto the peanut butter-topped square and cook 1 minute more.
  • Transfer the graham squares to a plate with a spatula. Place the banana slices and crispy bacon on the half with the chocolate, then sandwich the two squares together and eat while the s'more is still warm and gooey.

1 sheet honey graham cracker, halved crosswise into 2 squares
One 0.375-ounce square milk chocolate, such as Hershey's (see Cook's Note)

Steps:

  • Preheat an air fryer to 400 degrees F.
  • Place the marshmallow inside and set the timer for 3 minutes. Meanwhile, place the graham cracker squares hole-side down on a plate and top one with the chocolate. After the marshmallow has cooked for 2 minutes, open the air fryer and place both graham squares inside. Roll the marshmallow onto the plain graham square and cook 1 minute more.
  • Transfer the graham squares to a plate with a spatula, then sandwich them and eat while the s'more is still warm and gooey.

Grandma would always make these in the oven and bring them out to us so that we'd feel like we were really camping. Roasting the banana changes the the texture to almost a pudding-like consistency. Here is my adapted version using an air fryer.

Steps:

  • Preheat an air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) according to manufacturer's instructions.
  • Slice the bananas lengthwise, making sure not to cut through the bottom peel. Slightly open the bananas to form a pocket.
  • Divide graham crackers, chocolate chips, and marshmallows between the 2 pockets. Set banana boats in the air fryer basket.
