AIR FRYER RUTABAGA FRIES
Rutabaga Fries in the air fryer come out crisp golden brown and delicious. These low carb fries are great alternative to traditional French fries.

Steps:
- Peel and cut the rutabaga into 1/2 inch fries. (See post for instructions)
- In a bowl, toss the fries with oil and seasonings to coat them
- Air fry at 400° 20 minutes, shaking the basket often. Add or subtract minutes depending on your particular air fryer.
- Serve hot, with ketchup or your favourite dip.

Steps:
- Cover potatoes with water and let soak for 30 minutes. Drain and pat dry with paper towels. Drizzle with oil; toss to coat.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
- Arrange potatoes in a double layer in the fryer basket. Cook, tossing every 5 minutes, until golden brown, 15 to 20 minutes. Sprinkle with salt and desired seasoning.

Steps:
- Scrub potatoes and pat dry. Cut into evenly-sized fries and place in a bowl.
- Add olive oil and kosher salt and toss to coat.
- Place fries in the air fryer basket and cook at 350-degrees F for 15 to 18 minutes, pausing half way through to shake the basket. Cook until golden and crispy.
- Remove fries from the basket and season immediately with truffle salt, serve hot.

BAKED RUTABAGA "FRIES"
Rutagabas are a root vegetable, right? So why not make fries out of them too. Note: These will not be crispy.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 475.
- Peel rutabaga and cut into fries as you would with potatoes.
- Place into large bowl.
- Coat them with the oil.
- Add seasonings and combine.
- Place on large baking sheet, lined with non stick foil.
- Should be one layer.
- Bake 30-40 minute
- Serve hot.

- Peel the rutabaga, and cut it into thin fries. They will have to be really thin like french fries if you want them to be crispy.
- Place the fries in a bowl, and add cornstarch or cornflour. Shake and stir to completely cover the fries with a thin layer of starch. Add vegetable oil, and repeat so that all fries are covered with a thin layer of both cornstarch and oil.
- Preheat your air fryer to 180°C / 356°F. Add the rutabaga to the air fryer basket. Cook for 18-22 minutes. The exact cooking time might vary depending on the size and make of your air fryer. Shake the basket every 3-4 minutes to ensure that the fries are evenly fried.
- When they are crispy and golden, they are ready to serve! Alternatively, add some salt or seasoning if you prefer.
