1/3 cup soy sauce (or coconut aminos for gluten free)
3 tbsp Swerve brown sugar substitute
1/2 tsp ginger paste
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp onion powder
3 tbsp green onions (chopped)
2 tsp sesame seeds

Steps:

  • Start by whisking together the soy sauce, brown sugar substitute, ginger paste, garlic powder, black pepper, and onion powder in a bowl.
  • Pour the marinade into a large Ziploc bag, then add chicken. Zip the bag and make sure chicken is well coated.
  • Let the chicken marinade for at least one hour, and up to overnight.
  • Preheat air fryer to 350 degrees.
  • Cook the chicken on a rack in the air fryer for 20 - 25 minutes, until browned and cooked through.
  • Allow chicken to sit for a few minutes inside the air fryer with the heat turned off.
  • Remove chicken from air fryer, then garnish with chopped green onions an sesame seeds.

2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
2 cloves garlic, minced
¼ teaspoon salt
⅛ teaspoon ground black pepper
4 skin-on, bone-in chicken thighs
4 lemon wedges

Steps:

  • Whisk lemon juice, olive oil, Dijon mustard, garlic, salt, and pepper together in a bowl. Set marinade aside.
  • Place chicken thighs into a large resealable plastic bag. Pour marinade over chicken and seal bag, making sure to cover all parts of chicken. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  • Preheat an air fryer to 360 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Remove chicken from marinade and pat dry with paper towels. Place chicken pieces in the air fryer basket, cooking in batches if necessary.
  • Fry until chicken is no longer pink at the bone and the juices run clear, 22 to 24 minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted near the bone should read 165 degrees F (74 degrees C). Squeeze a lemon wedge over each piece upon serving.

This fried chicken is crispy, crunchy, and packed with spices. It will take your favorite fast food to a whole other level!

1 tbsp Paprika
1 tbsp garlic powder
2 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp Pink Himalayan Salt
1 tsp Mustard Powder
1/4 tsp ground ginger
1 pinch ground cinnamon
2 boneless/ skinless Chicken Breasts (about 1lb)
2-3 bone in chicken thighs
2-3 bone in/ skin on chicken drumsticks
1/4 cup Heavy Cream
2 cups unsweetened almond milk
1/4 cup white vinegar
2 large Eggs
1/2 The Prepared Spice Mix
2 cups unflavored protein powder
2 tbsp Marinade Liquid
1/2 The Prepared Spice Mix

Steps:

  • In a small bowl mix together all the spices together, set aside.
  • Then, using a large bowl, add in the almond milk, heavy cream, vinegar, eggs, and half of the spice mix. Whisk well until combined.
  • Now add the chicken pieces into the marinade. Cover the bowl and place it into the fridge. Allow to marinade for 4-12 hours. The longer the better.
  • When you're ready to begin cooking, preheat 2-3 cups of any high smoking point oil in a frying pot, or Dutch oven on medium heat. The oil should be deep enough to cover the chicken. You can also use a deep fryer. You must maintain an oil temperature of around 300 F. Use a food thermometer.
  • Meanwhile, in a flat tray, mix the protein powder with the remaining spice mix. Add 1-2 tbsp of the marinade liquid and mix using a fork to create small lumps. These lumps will create more crispy edges when fried.
  • Working with 2-3 pieces at a time, remove the chicken pieces from the marinade using tongs, and place in the coating mix, turn around to make sure they are completely covered with the protein powder mix.
  • Check the temperature of the oil, and start frying when the temperature is about 300 F. Once you add the chicken, the temperature will drop to around 280 F. Maintain the temperature between 275-300 F. Anything more will cook the coating before cooking the meat on the inside.
  • Chicken strips will take from 8-10 minutes. Chicken drumsticks will take between 15-18 minutes, and thighs around 17-20 minutes. You can measure the internal temperature of the chicken, it should be at least 165 F. Once cooked, remove from the oil and place on a dish with paper towels.

Steps:

4 chicken thighs, skin on
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp sea salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 tbsp olive oil

Steps:

  • Toss all seasoning together in a small bowl.
  • Pat chicken thighs dry with a paper towel and drizzle bother sides with olive oil. Then sprinkle both sides with the seasoning. Be generous!

½ cup crushed pork rinds

Steps:

  • Preheat air fryer to 370°F.
  • Combine chicken, eggs and pickle juice together and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Combine all breading ingredients in a bowl and mix until fully incorporated.
  • Let access liquid drip off the chicken, then dip it into the breading mixture making sure it is fully coated.
