1-3/4 cups half-and-half
1 tablespoon butter
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
4-1/2 teaspoons cornstarch
4 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 bunch broccoli, cut into florets (about 4-1/2 cups)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
TOPPING:
1/2 cup crushed Ritz crackers
2 tablespoons shredded Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 cup chicken broth or water

Steps:

  • Place wire rack with handles and chicken broth into inner pot. Add broccoli to mesh basket; place on rack. Cover with glass lid. Press steam function; select vegetables setting. Press timer; set to 7 minutes. Start. , Drain and set broccoli aside. In a small bowl, whisk cornstarch, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Gradually whisk in half-and-half until smooth; add to inner pot. Press saute function; select vegetables setting. Set to medium cook time (10 minutes). Bring to a gentle boil, stirring constantly. Cook and stir for 1 minute or until thickened. Stir in cream cheese and butter until melted. Stir in cooked broccoli. Press cancel. , Transfer to a 1-1/2-qt. round baking dish. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese. In a small bowl, mix topping ingredients; sprinkle over cheese. Place baking dish on wire rack with handles; lower into inner pot. Cover with air frying lid. Press air fryer function; select custom setting. Press timer; set to 4 minutes. Start. Cook until topping is lightly browned..

3 pounds broccoli, cut into florets, stems discarded or saved for another use
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
Cheddar Cheese Sauce, recipe follows
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups whole milk
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 cup grated sharp Cheddar

Steps:

  • Fill a medium saucepan with 1 inch of water and place a steamer inside. Bring the water to a boil, place the broccoli in the steamer, reduce the heat to medium, cover and steam until tender and bright green, about 5 minutes.
  • Transfer the broccoli to a bowl and sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper. Top the broccoli with the Cheddar Cheese Sauce, or serve it on the side.
  • Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat until foamy. Spoon the flour over the butter and cook, while stirring, until the flour becomes pasty. Pour in the milk while whisking and season with salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat to a medium simmer and cook for 5 to 8 minutes. Slowly add the cheese by handfuls and stir with a wooden spoon until melted and smooth.

1 Tbsp (15ml) all-purpose flour
¾ cup (190 ml) 2% milk
½ cup (125 ml) shredded low fat cheddar cheese
1 ½ tsp (8ml) Dijon mustard
1 box (10 ounce) frozen chopped broccoli, thawed and drained
¼ cup (65ml) plain dry bread crumbs

Steps:

  • Melt 2 tablespoons (30 mL) Becel® Buttery Taste margarine in 2-quart (2 L) saucepan over medium heat and cook flour, stirring frequently, 1 minute. Gradually whisk in milk. Bring to a boil and cook until thickened, about 1 minute.
  • Stir in cheese and mustard until cheese is melted. Add broccoli and cook over medium-low heat, stirring frequently, until heated through. Turn into greased 1½-quart (1.5 L) shallow casserole.
  • Combine remaining 2 tablespoons Becel® Buttery Taste margarine, melted with breadcrumbs, then sprinkle over broccoli mixture. Broil until golden, about 1 minute.

1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
1 cup sour cream
1-1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese, divided
1 can (6 ounces) french-fried onions, divided
2 packages (16 ounces each) frozen broccoli florets, thawed

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325°. In a large saucepan, combine soup, sour cream, 1 cup cheese and 1-1/4 cups onions; heat through over medium heat, stirring until blended, 4-5 minutes. Stir in broccoli. Transfer to a greased 2-qt. baking dish., Bake, uncovered, until bubbly, 25-30 minutes. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese and onions. Bake until cheese is melted, 10-15 minutes.

2 (10 ounce) packages frozen broccoli, thawed and chopped (squeeze out excess moisture well using hands then coarsley chop)
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
3/4 cup mayonnaise (can use 1/2 cup each mayonnaise and sour cream, DO NOT use salad dressing)
1/4 cup sour cream
1 large egg, beaten
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 small onion, chopped
1/2 teaspoon seasoning salt (or to taste)
1 teaspoon ground black pepper (or to taste)
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
3/4-1 cup grated parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Set oven to 350 degrees F (set oven rack to second-lowest position).
  • Butter a 9 x 9 or a 11 x 7-inch baking dish.
  • In a medium bowl combine undiluted soup with mayonnaise, sour cream, beaten egg, garlic powder, chopped onion, seasoned salt and black pepper; whisk until well combined.
  • Mix in the grated cheese and chopped broccoli.
