- In a 5-qt. slow cooker, combine the first 8 ingredients. Cover and cook on low until vegetables are tender, 6-8 hours. Stir in kielbasa. Cover and cook until heated through, about 30 minutes longer.

Steps:
- In a soup pot, cook sausage over medium heat until no pink remains.
- Add onions, celery, and carrots. Cook uncovered for 5 minutes, or until onions are soft.
- Add tomatoes, chicken broth, cabbage, and basil. Bring to a boil. Stir in macaroni, and cover. Simmer for 10 minutes, or until pasta is tender. Season with garlic salt. Serve.

- In a large saucepan, heat oil. Saute the onion, red pepper, garlic and jalepeno (if using it) for several minutes until tender.
- Add cumin, cayenne, and cilantro; stir and cook for about 1 minute.
- Add broth, garbanzos, corn, and tomatoes. Heat to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer on low for about 20 minutes.
- Serve in bowls and dallop with some sour cream, if desired.

Steps:
- Grease an 8 1/2x11-inch baking dish with butter. Place the bread cubes in the baking dish.
- Break the sausage into small pieces into a large skillet over medium heat. Cook and stir sausage until completely browned, 5 to 7 minutes. Add green onions; toss once and remove skillet from heat. Drain as much grease as possible from the skillet. Spread sausage and green onion mixture over bread cubes.
- Stir cream of mushroom soup and 1/2 cup milk together in a bowl; pour over the layer of sausage in the baking dish.
- Whisk eggs and milk together in a bowl; pour over the sausage. Top with Gruyere and Cheddar cheese. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and refrigerate 8 hours to overnight.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Bake uncovered in preheated oven until the middle is set, about 1 hour.

Steps:
- Heat 2 tablespoons oil in heavy large pot over low heat. Add bread. Cook until brown, about 2 minutes per side. Transfer bread to paper towels and cool. Cut into 1/2-inch croutons.
- Heat remaining 2 tablespoons oil in same pot over medium heat. Add garlic and stir 30 seconds. Add broth, sausage, garbanzo beans and paprika. Bring soup to simmer. Mix in parsley and egg; stir constantly to break egg into strands as it cooks. Season with salt and pepper. Ladle into bowls. Top with croutons.

- Heat olive oil in heavy large Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add turkey sausage and chopped garlic and sauté until sausage is golden brown and cooked through, breaking up sausage with back of fork, about 5 minutes. Reduce heat to medium. Add tomatoes with their juices, sliced jalapeño chili, ground cumin and chopped fresh rosemary and simmer 10 minutes, stirring frequently. Add garbanzo beans with their liquid and chicken broth and bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer soup 15 minutes. Stir in fresh lemon juice. Season soup to taste with salt and pepper. (Can be prepared 1 day ahead. Cover and refrigerate. Rewarm over medium heat before continuing.)
- Ladle soup into bowls. Sprinkle soup with chopped fresh cilantro and top with sliced avocado. Serve immediately.
