The fastest way in the current patch is actually a glitch in Kaer Morhen. There is an expensive sword that infinitely respawns when you save/reload your save. You can just loot the sword an infinite amount of times and sell them all to the blacksmith for about ~500 coin a pop. I was able to get about 30-40k in a half hour doing it.
