Wiltons Roll Out Cookie Dough Food
ROLL-OUT COOKIES
My favorite cookie recipe to use with cookie cutters.There is no need to chill the dough so it is fast.

Yield 2 dozen [will vary ,on size of cutter]
Number Of Ingredients 6
Steps:
- Pre heat oven to 400F degrees.
- In a large bowl cream butter and sugar with electric mixer.
- Beat in egg and vanilla.
- Mix flour and baking powder.
- Add 1 cup at a time,combining after each addition.
- You will need to add last 3/4 cup by hand.
- Do not chill dough it will be stiff.
- Divide dough into 2 balls.
- On floured surface roll out to 1/8 inch thickness.
- Use any cookie cutter and cut away.
- Bake for 6-10 minutes or until light brown.
- Enjoy!
EASY NO-CHILL SUGAR COOKIES
This recipe is from Wilton and was on the back of some cookie cutters I recently purchased. I liked that it didn't require chilling. It's a rich, buttery cookie, very tasty.

- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- In mixing bowl, cream butter with sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla.
- Mix flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl; add to butter mixture 1 cup at a time, mixing after each addition.
- Do not chill dough. Divide dough into two balls. On a floured surface roll each ball into a circle approximately 12" wide and 1/8" thick. Dip cookie cutter in flour and cut out cookies.
- Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 6 - 7 minutes or until cookies are lightly browned. It helps to line pans with parchment paper for easy cookie removal.

WILTON COOKIE BLOSSOM SUGAR COOKIES
These are an easy sugar cookie to make because they require no refrigeration of the dough before rolling it out. Updated 11/2009 - after reading some of the reviews that said the dough was crumbly, I updated the ingredients to state that the unsalted butter should be softened to room temperature. I am hoping that solves the crumbly dough problem. I've never experienced that and I am thinking that is because I soften the butter before mixing. Hope that helps everyone.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 400°.
- In large bowl, cream butter and sugar with electric mixer for 2 minutes; scrape down bowl.
- Cream the mixture for an additional minute.
- Beat in egg and vanilla extract.
- Sift baking powder and flour.
- Add flour mixture 1 cup at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- The dough will be very stiff.
- Blend in the last of the flour by hand.
- Do not chill dough.
- Roll dough to 3/8" thickness and cut out using cookie cutters.
- Bake 8-10 minutes or until cookies are lightly browned.
- Remove cookies to cooling grid to cool completely.
- Note: I got 12-14 4" round cookies out of one batch.
- My convection oven baked them at 350° for 10 minutes.

- Chill the Dough in Disks. The single biggest thing to keep in mind when making cut-out cookies is to chill the dough and keep it chilled throughout the rolling and cutting process.
- Roll Out the Dough. Next take the disks, one at a time, out of the fridge and roll to the thickness specified in your recipe. When it comes to the rolling, there are a couple of ways to go.
- Cut the Dough. One thing to remember when cutting cookies: Be sure to cut the shapes close together to minimize dough scraps. While scraps can be re-rolled, they should be re-rolled only once.
- Peel Away Scraps. Once the shapes are cut, peel away the dough scraps. With the extra dough out of the way, it's easier to lift the cut cookies without stretching or squishing the shapes.
- Lift the Cookies. If the dough is still chilled and firm enough, the cookies can be lifted by hand and placed on a baking sheet without distorting the shapes.
- Ready to Bake. Bake the cookies as your recipe directs, letting them cool for 2 to 3 minutes on the pan before removing them. Cool your baking pans to room temperature between batches.
