UNSTUFFED CABBAGE ROLLS
These Unstuffed or Lazy Cabbage Rolls, make the perfect quick, easy and delicious weeknight meal. No stuffing required and no side dish needed.

Steps:
- In a large frying pan add the olive oil, garlic, onion, and ground beef, cook on medium heat until almost all browned.
- Then add the cabbage, tomatoes, water and rice, stir to combine, add the spices and combine. Cook over low-medium heat for approximately 30 minutes or until cooked and thickened. Enjoy!

Steps:
- Warm the oil in a large deep sided skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add the beef, chili powder, garlic, salt, and pepper. Crumble the meat as it cooks. When the meat has browned, about 8 minutes, add the crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, vinegar, brown sugar. Stir to combine and bring to a boil.
- Stir in the cabbage, reduce to simmer, and cover with lid. Cook until the cabbage is bright green, tender, and still slightly crisp, about 4-5 minutes. Add in the cooked rice and simmer just until heated through about 2 minutes. Enjoy!

- In a large dutch oven, brown the ground beef and onions. Drain.
- Add the garlic and cook an additional minute.
- Mix in remaining ingredients.
- Bring to a boil, cover, reduce the heat and simmer about 25 minutes or until the rice is fully cooked and cabbage is tender.

This is a wonderful old fashioned dish that I'm sure you will enjoy. My family loves stuffed cabbage rolls, but I found that it took to much time to assemble, so I came up with this.

Steps:
- Chop cabbage into pieces, par-boil until almost tender.
- Remove, rinse with cold water.
- Drain well.
- Mix all of ingredients EXCEPT tomato sauce.
- Grease casserole dish.
- Place 1/2 can of tomato sauce on bottom of dish.
- Spread half of cooked cabbage over sauce, then layer all of meat mixture over cabbage, cover meat with the rest of cabbage, pour rest of tomato sauce over cabbage.
- Bake 325°F in covered dish for 1 hour 15 minutes.
- Let stand for 15 minutes before serving.
- This is the basic recipe--you can add more of whatever you like.
- My mother says she used ground turkey instead of hamburger and she liked it just fine.
- Try this old fashioned dish and feel the love.

Steps:
- Add the beef to a 5 quart dutch oven over medium heat. Brown the meat, crumbling as it cooks.
- When meat is partially cooked, add the onion and garlic to the pan and continue cooking, stirring often.

Steps:
- Brown meat in a large pan, or Dutch oven over medium heat.
- Add onion and saute until onion is translucent.
- Add cabbage and stir until wilted.
- Add remaining ingredients except for the rice in order given.
- Mix well and bring to a boil then reduce heat, cover and simmer covered 45 to 60 minutes.
- In the last 10 minutes add the rice and continue to simmer.
- If the rice soaks up too much liquid, just add some water 1/2 cup at a time.
