2 teaspoons butter
1 cup chicken stock
salt and pepper
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
2 large bananas, thinly sliced on an angle
1/4 cup dark brown sugar

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Place sweet potatoes on a baking sheet and roast until tender, about 1 hour.
  • Remove from heat and let cool until cool enough to handle.
  • (Keep oven at 350 degrees F).
  • Peel and mash sweet potatoes in a bowl until smooth.
  • Stir in the butter, stock, salt, pepper, and cinnamon.
  • Transfer to a casserole dish.
  • Cover the surface of the potatoes with the banana slices by laying them on top, slightly overlapping in concentric circles.
  • Sprinkle the brown sugar evenly over the top.
  • Bake for 20 minutes or until the top is browned.
  • Serve.

1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup corn syrup
1/4 cup whole milk
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 to 1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Steps:

  • Place sweet potatoes in a Dutch oven; cover with water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 20 minutes., Drain and transfer to a greased 13x9-in. baking dish. Bake, uncovered, at 325° for 15 minutes. , Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, combine the remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil; pour over sweet potatoes. Bake 10-15 minutes longer or until glazed, basting frequently.

½ cup all-purpose flour
½ cup packed brown sugar
½ cup quick cooking oats
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ cup butter, softened
1 (40 ounce) can cut yams, drained
½ cup whole berry cranberry sauce, drained
1 cup mini marshmallows

Steps:

  • Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Mix the flour, brown sugar, oats, and cinnamon together in a bowl; cut the butter into the mixture until crumbled.
  • Combine the yams and cranberries in a larger bowl. Stir 1 cup of the flour mixture into the yams and cranberries; pour the mixture into the bottom of an 8-inch square baking dish and top with the remaining flour mixture.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes; top with the marshmallows and return to the oven until the marshmallows are browned, about 10 minutes more.

1/3 cup flour
1 cup pecans (chopped)
1/4 cup butter, melted
3 cups mashed sweet potatoes
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs (beaten)
1/2 cup butter (melted)

Steps:

  • Boil sweet potatos for 15 mins, let it sit for 15 mins, boil another 15 mins, let it sit another 15-30 minutes.
  • Mash potatoes.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Combine crust mixture brown sugar, flour, nuts and butter in mixing bowl. Set aside.
  • Combine sweet potatoes, sugar, salt, vanilla, eggs and butter in a mixing bowl in the order listed. Mix well. Pour mixture into greased baking dish.
  • Sprinkle the surface of the sweet potato mixture evenly with the crust mixture.
  • Bake for 30 minutes. Allow to set at least about 15-30 minutes before serving for the crust to harden.
