EASY SHRIMP CREOLE
Fresh shrimp cooked with tomatoes, green peppers, onion, and garlic - Easy Shrimp Creole can be whipped up in no time for a weeknight meal that gives you the taste of the bayou.

Steps:
- In a large pan coated with a little oil, cook bacon until brown and crispy. Remove bacon to a paper-towel lined plate.
- Add 1 tablespoon Vegetable oil to bacon drippings. Heat over medium heat and add green pepper, onion, and celery.
- Cook veggies, stirring occasionally, for 8 to 10 minutes.
- Add garlic and cook 1 more minute.
- Add all remaining ingredients EXCEPT shrimp, rice, green onions, and parsley. Simmer until slightly thickened, about 20 minutes.
- Add shrimp and cook until shrimp is cooked, about 2 minutes. Stir in cooked bacon.
- Remove bay leaf and serve over rice. Top with green onion and parsley.

- Mix well and use like salt.
- TO SEASON SEAFOOD:.
- Use half of above mixture and add:.
- 1tsp. thyme, powdered.
- 1 bay leaf.
- 1 teaspoons basil, leaf, sweet.
- NOTE: If too peppery for children, add more salt to mixture, then season to taste.
SHRIMP CREOLE
My Dad had sent me this recipe he had cut out of a newspaper years ago. I did a little tweaking to the recipe after I made it the first time around.

Steps:
- 1. Saute onions, bell peppers, green onions, celery, & garlic in oil until tender. (about 3-5 minutes) Stir often.
- 2. Stir in stewed tomatoes, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, bay leaves, Tony's seasoning, cayenne pepper & liquid crab boil.
- 3. Bring to a boil. Cover, lower heat.Simmer 20 minutes. (Stir occasionally)
- 4. Add shrimp. Bring back to a boil, lower heat, and simmer for 5 more minutes or until shrimp are pink and done.
- 5. Serve over rice~

- COMBINE all ingredients in a resealable container (1/4 cup fine sea salt, 1 teaspoon cornstarch, 5 teaspoons cayenne pepper, 5 teaspoons garlic salt, 4 teaspoons ground black pepper, 1 tablespoon seasoned chili powder, 2 1/2 teaspoons celery salt, 2 teaspoons ground mustard, 1 1/2 teaspoons ground basil, 1 1/2 teaspoons ground sage, 1 teaspoon onion salt, 1/2 teaspoon ground oregano, 1/2 teaspoon ground thyme).
- SEAL the container.
- SHAKE until thoroughly blended.
