Chartreuse is like spring in a bottle -- the yellow-green spirit is said to be made from more than 130 plants -- making it a fitting choice for this month's zodiac cocktail. Melon adds sweetness to Chartreuse's complex herbal notes in this vibrant sip.

Number Of Ingredients 5

Ingredients

1 one-inch cube honeydew melon, plus 1 melon ball for garnish
Ice cubes
1 1/2 ounces herbal liqueur, preferably Chartreuse Green
1 1/2 ounces gin
3 to 4 ounces seltzer

Steps:

Muddle melon in a glass; strain juice into an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Add Chartreuse and gin. Shake well. Strain into a tall ice-filled glass. Top with seltzer.
Garnish with melon ball.
