6 bone-in pork loin chops (8 ounces each)
1 tablespoon canola oil
1 large onion, sliced
1 medium sweet red pepper, cut into rings
1 can (4 ounces) mushroom stems and pieces, drained
1 can (28 ounces) diced tomatoes, undrained
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Hot cooked rice

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, brown chops in oil in batches; drain. Transfer to a 5-qt. slow cooker. Layer with onion, red pepper and mushrooms. Combine the tomatoes, brown sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper; pour over vegetables., Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours or until meat is tender. Serve with rice.

Slow Cooker Pork Chops are delicious and easy! Pork Chops with potatoes, carrots and green beans is a one pot meal that everyone will enjoy!

Number Of Ingredients 10

3 lbs. pork chops (*about 8 pork chops- you can use bone in or boneless)
1 1/2 lb. potatoes, peeled (optional) and cut into 1 inch peices (*I prefer Russett or Yukon Gold)
1/2 lb. carrots, peeled and sliced/diced
1/4 to 1/2 lb. fresh green beans, trimmed
1 large can (22.6 oz) cream of mushroom soup
1 large can (22.6 oz) cream of chicken soup
1 cup water
3 tbsp Ranch Seasoning Dry Mix, or 1- 1 oz. packet
2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce (*optional)
salt and pepper to taste (*I usually only add pepper as the ranch seasoning has plenty of salt- but add according to your taste)

Steps:

  • Spray your 5 or 6 quart slow cooker with cooking spray.
  • Mix the gravy/sauce ingredients together in a large bowl. Add your cut potatoes and carrots to the sauce and mix well.
  • Pour 1/3 of your sauce and veggies on the bottom of the slow cooker.
  • Add 3-4 pork chops (however many fit easily without much overlap) on top of the sauce and veggies.
  • Pour more sauce and veggies over the pork chops. Leave enough sauce to add to the very top at the end.
  • Place the remaining pork chops on top of the sauce and veggies.
  • Pour the last of your sauce and veggies on top of the pork chops.
  • Cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours. Or cook according to your slow cooker.
  • Add the fresh green beans the last 3 hours of cooking time on low, or the last hour if cooking on high.

FALL-APART TENDER PORK CHOPS

The title of the recipe says it all. I've made this many times for both friends and family and everyone that's tasted it has loved it. You need to use 1" or thicker boneless loin chops. I sometimes double the sauce because its so delicious. I wish I could take credit for this recipe, but its from my favorite cookbook, that will remain nameless since my dog ate the cover and I can't remember the title.

1 tablespoon vegetable oil
6 boneless pork loin chops
1 lb sliced mushrooms
2 minced garlic cloves
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil

3 tablespoons flour
1 cup dry white wine
1 cup cream
1/2 cup chicken broth

Steps:

  • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat add chops and brown all over.
  • Arrange chops in a 13" x 9" baking dish.
  • Add mushrooms to drippings in the skillet and cook over medium-high heat without stirring for 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Stir in garlic, salt, oregano, basil and pepper.
  • Sprinkle flour over mushrooms and stir to moisten.
  • Pour in wine and bring to a boil.
  • Add cream and chicken broth, simmer, stirring, to thicken.
  • Pour over chops.
  • Cover tightly with a double layer of foil.
  • Bake at 350 for 2 to 2 1/2 hours until pork chops are fork tender.

1 tbsp vegetable oil
1/4 cup beer or chicken broth
2 tbsp Dijon mustard
2 tbsp pure maple syrup
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper

Steps:

  • Heat a large, non stick skillet over medium high heat. Add a tablespoon of vegetable oil to the pan to prevent sticking. Add the chops and brown each chop, about 5 minutes per side.
  • Place the chops into a slow cooker set on low.
  • Return the skillet to the heat and add the beer (I used a pale ale) to scrape up the browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. If you don't like cooking with beer, use chicken broth.

1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon paprika

1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 medium yellow onion (sliced)
8 ounces mushrooms (crimini or white, sliced)
3 cloves garlic (minced)
¼ cup all-purpose flour
1 ¾ cups low sodium chicken broth

Steps:

  • Combine garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, paprika, salt and pepper in a small bowl. Rub over both sides of pork chops.
  • Heat the butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until the butter is melted. Add the pork chops to the pan and brown on both sides, about 2 minutes per side. Remove pork chops to a clean plate.
  • Add the onion and mushrooms to the skillet. Cook, stirring often, until they begin to soften, about 5 minutes. Add the garlic and cook, stirring, for 30 seconds.
  • Stir in the flour followed by the chicken broth. Cook, stirring and scraping up any bits stuck to the bottom of the skillet, for a few minutes until the broth simmers and thickens. It should lightly coat the back of a spatula. Remove pan from the heat.
  • Pour the contents of the skillet into the slow cooker. Place the pork chops on top. Cover and cook on low setting for 1 ½ to 3 hours. Pork chops are done when they reach an internal temperature of at least 145° F. (In my slow cooker, 1-inch thick boneless pork chops need about 1 ½-2 hours to cook through and bone-in take about 2 ½-3 hours.) Try to avoid over-cooking the pork chops, as that will make them dry.*
  • Optional: To further thicken the gravy, remove the cooked pork chops to a clean plate and cover with foil. Turn the slow cooker up to high. In a small bowl, stir together 1 tablespoon cornstarch and 1 tablespoon water. Pour the cornstarch mixture into the slow cooker and stir. Cook on high for 15-20 minutes, until the gravy thickens slightly. (Alternatively, you can heat the gravy in a pot on the stove over medium heat, stirring, for a few minutes until thickened.)
  • Season with additional salt and pepper, to taste. Serve pork chops with mushroom gravy.

4 tbsp clear honey
2 tbsp tomato ketchup
2 tbsp dark soy sauce
½ tsp hot smoked paprika
4 thick pork chops (each about 170g/6oz)
ground black pepper
boiled rice, to serve
cooked corn on the cob, to serve (optional)

Steps:

  • Mix the tomatoes, honey, ketchup, soy sauce and smoked paprika thoroughly in a slow cooker. Season with ground black pepper.
  • Add the pork and turn to coat in the sauce. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours, or until the sauce is thick and glossy and the pork is tender. Serve with cooked rice and corn on the cob, if you like.
