Recipe given to me by my sisters best friend Mary Lou, we use this at the holiday season. Its always a big hit. I know I said this was a quick and easy recipe even though you have to let it sit for 24 hours, it really is easy.

4 oz dry mustard
1 c apple cider vinegar
1 large egg
1 c sugar
1 1/2 c mayonnaise
1/2 tsp salt

Steps:

  • 1. Mix mustard and vinegar well and let sit over night 24 hours is best but I have made this after just sitting over night.
  • 2. Beat the egg well and add the sugar and salt, add this to the mustard mix and cook on med. heat until mixture thickens, let cool all the way, then add the mayonnaise. this will keep in the refrigerator for two weeks maybe longer.
  • 3. very good with roast turkey.

1/4 cup brown mustard
1/8 cup vegetable oil (or canola)

  • Combine all ingredients and whip until smooth (I use a sigle beater in my hand mixer).
  • Refigerate 1 hour before serving. Serve with pretzels.

4 oz coleman's dry mustard
1 c white vindgar
4 eggs
1 c granulated sugar

Steps:

  • 1. In small bowl, mix dry mustard and vinegar. Cover and set on counter for 6 hours.
  • 2. In a medium bowl bowl mix eggs and sugar with a whisk until thoroughly blended. Add mustard and vinegar mixture and stir to combine.
  • 3. Place all ingredients in top of double boiler over rapidly boiling water. Stir constantly until mixture is thickened. Cover and cool to room temperature. Refrigerate before using.
