SUMMER SOLSTICE COCKTAIL
This is an original cocktail created by James "J.W." Tejchman, a bartender known for his theatrics behind the rail and co-owner of the soon-to-open 45º Martini Lounge in Chesapeake . This was posted in The Virginian Pilot on 6/17/2009. Sounds terrific!

Steps:
- Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker except grenadine, cherries and orange slices.
- Shake and strain drink mixture into a glass over new ice.
- Top with a splash of grenadine.
- Garnish with 2 cherries and 1 orange slice.

SUMMER SOLSTICE - MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM COCKTAIL
A magical love potion for your Summer solstice celebration, savored outside on a warm, balmy night under the stars! Summer's sweet ripe red strawberries and vodka, kirschwasser and strawberry liqueur are shaken then poured over ice into a highball glass, topped-up with sparkling Schweppes Russian and served with a fresh strawberry garnish! Enchanting! Recipe adapted from Celtnet.

Steps:
- Purée the strawberries in a blender then pour over ice in a shaker before adding the Vodka, Kirsch and strawberry liqueur.
- Shake thoroughly then pour into a highball glass with ice, and top-up with the Schweppes Russian.
- *NOTE: If you can't find Schweppes Russian, use tonic water and add a drop of Angostura bitters and a splash of grenadine).
- Garnish with halved strawberries and serve.

Steps:
- Berry-infused gin: Slice 24 fresh strawberries.
- Combine strawberries with one bottle of Tanqueray No. Ten Citrus Gin in closed container and allow to sit for 24 hours.
- For cocktail: Combine first four ingredients in cocktail shaker with scoop of ice and shake well.
- Add club soda to shaker and strain into ice-filled cocktail glass.
